Cforce 600 Touring Winch replacement with Warn VRX 35
« on: October 13, 2021, 01:44:53 PM »
The windings in the winch motor on my 2021 Cforce 600 Touring got fried, so now I'm looking at putting in a Warn VRX 35.
Has anyone done that and if so any tips for mounting it?
Also, can I use all the wiring and contactor that's already in the machine?
Anyone have details on the no-name winch and the contactor that comes with the machine?
Thanks
  John

All the smaller winches basiclly work the same...and mount the same. You may well be able to use all the old stuff on the new winch. CFM uses...or used to use.. Lianda winches so if you get the model number off the side, you may be able to get the owners manual from their site...and here is that site.

I received a reply from Warn that they don't have any CFmoto mounting brackets but they pointed me to KFI and they have one for the Cforce 400, will that work for the 600 Touring also?

I would have thought you use the same bracket you already have. They all use the same 4-bolts to mount them down. Might be a bit larger holes but..I'd try it if the winch size is the same...ie 2500 or so. Otherwise I guess you would have to try that mount.

FYI, there is no manufacturers name or part number on CFmoto's OEM winch - see attachment.
No other information was on the winch.

Try looking on the winch frame. Until recently, when CFM put their own name on them, they had yellow pull straps that said "Lianda Winch" on them. Here's a shot of mine.

Anyone know if I will need to replace the winch contactor if I install a Warn VRX 35 or can I use the CFmoto contactor?  See attached current table.

Also, the Warn comes with a In/Out switch, will I need to replace the CFmoto switch?

I assume I can use all the OEM wiring for the winch.

Thanks

to answer my own questions:

According to my CFmoto dealer:

The Warn VRX 35 winch will fit the CF600
The existing contactor, switch & wiring will work with the VRX 35.

Just curious if you had success in mounting the Warn VRX35 to your CF600? I'm in the same boat - but cracked the stock drum and now can't freespool. My extended warranty has a specific EXCLUSION section that includes "winch".. typical...  Thanks!

Yes sir, fit like a glove, and all the wiring connected up fine too.
