Cforce 600 starter motor location
« on: June 03, 2024, 02:06:06 PM »
Where is the starter motor on a 2021 Cforce 600 touring?

Bike just clicks when I try to start, new battery is fully charged, so now I want to test the starter motor.

Any other suggestions on why it may just click when I depress the start button?

thanks

They can just click because of several reasons like: Low power such as low or bad battery, loose cable connection(s) or solenoid coil connections. It can also be a bad or seized starter motor....it can also be that the engine can't turn over as in locked-up. I would check all the cable and wire connections then pull the clutch cover and see if the primary clutch rotates in both directions. If so, then look to the starter motor.

Thanks.
The primary rotates while in L or H, you mean?
I've never tried that before, should it rotate easily by hand?

Just make sure the engine rotates by hand.

21 600 touring here also. My starter died the day after I bought my machine, with less than 5 mi on it. Same issue, just clicking from the solenoid. Tried jumping battery with my Noco. Also tried jumping the terminals on the solenoid with a screwdriver. No luck with either. Ended up bringing it back to the dealer and they replaced the starter
