good evening,
we have a C6 wheeler, it stopped moving in any direction, i removed and inspected the clutches and can't find any thing wrong there.
the belt is moving fine but the only thing i can think of is the belt is out of spec and not letting it move.
i also need a link to the Manuel i can't down load the manual
thanks Mike

Don't think thats your problem is a to thinn belt. the sheves in the cvt moves toghether and squeze the belt so even if its thinner than it should be it still should be able to move, maybe at a slightly higher rpm.

I don't have a manual on the CForce 600..sorry. If the belt and clutches are both turning in gear.. then there is a transmission issue.

the trans seems fine with the clutch sitting on the shaft it will move the rear wheels when turned
there is a minimal thickness need for the belt to operate correctly.
so i guess i should of said it would try to move a high RPMs but not well

Have you measured the width of the belt?

Have you removed both clutches, cleaned and inspected all parts of them as well as the belt for specs?

you have a dry cluth but on the older models they also had a wet clutch thats "inside" the engine. But you m,aybe have a newer 600 like 2018 or newer then there is no wet clutch.

so I found that the wet clutch was metal to metal, i ordered and installed the replacement clutch paws and springs, which fixed my problem but caused another,
Now it is noisy at idle and is engaged all the time and will not release, it seems to be biting all the time.
any ideas.
someone mentioned wet clutch oil, is that required? i but regular oil in the crankcase.
sorry it toke so long but i had to wait on parts and time to get this far.

You know...you wouldn't be the first person to put the one-way sprag back in backwards. If this happened it would be engaged all the time even if the wet brake paws are retracted. And yes, your oil needs to state it is JACO MA2 rated for the wet clutch.

I am going to try the oil first since I know that is wrong but what are you calling the one way sprag?

Interesting thing is, you called it a C6..well the C6s, which started in 2019, didn't use a wet clutch yet you said the wet clutch was metal to metal so, I have to assume it was a 600 from 2014 and prior..but those were called X6. In any case if it does have a wet clutch it also has to have this sprag or "Overriding Clutch" as they call it and it can very well be put in backwards. And when done, it stays engaged all the time except for when it needs to hold back as an engine brake...and it doesn't, just lets go. Reversed from how it is supposed to work. If you replaced the shoes, then you did have this off. This is it here:

Looks like the surface or side with the markings face inward toward the shoes. Yes, JASO Ma2
