Adding OEM turn signals on CFORCE 600 Touring
« on: January 26, 2021, 03:49:57 PM »
I own 2 2021 CForce 600 Tourings (US Models). Great machines all around. I would like to enable the factory turn signals as are present on all other 600/625 models outside of the US market.  I have created a parts list of what I think is required to accomplish this.  These parts are not available in the US and will need to be ordered from Canada or European dealers.

LH Tail Light. 9DS#-160210-7001
RH Tail light. 9DS#-160220-7001
LH Handlebar switch assembly with the turn signal. 9DS#-160310-6301
Flasher. 9DS#-150340-6000 (this is a 2020 part number, looking for the 2021 updated part number)

As far as I can tell, all other components are in place.  The headlights are the same and have built-in amber turn signals.  The wiring harness seems the same.  There are two different P/N's for the dash display (on a non-US parts list)  but I'm hoping that is for a reason other than turn signal functionality since it appears by the naked eye that there are turn signal indicators in the US display.

One concern I have is the white reverse triangle-shaped LED on the US models.  When put in reverse, this section illuminates.  I have confirmed that on Canada models, this section does not illuminate in reverse, as this same triangle section is amber and used for turn signals.   I think all I will need to to do is identify the relay that senses reverse and remove that.

Anyone with any experience doing this on CFORCE's?

Well, I pulled the trigger and ordered the parts on a bit of blind faith.  It will probably be a month or so before I get everything, but I'll report back what I find out.  Such a bummer our US units aren't like all the others-- at least as it relates to turn signals.

I have some sad news... CFMOTO confirmed the US model does not have the compatible wiring harness... so I had to go with an after-market SxS kit that will be installed in a few weeks.

Did you finish it up? I am all done except I'm trying to figure out what wires to splice into for the license plate light. I'm trying to avoid taking off the rear rack and plastics, if possible.

sorry for the delay.  I did finish the install for both machines.  as mentioned above I learned that the wiring harness is different which meant some splicing.  everything worked out great.  I did not end up using the rear lights and instead opted to use a generic third party flasher, brake light interrupter.  The built in turn signals in the front lights look great.  I'll make a quick youtube video if you're interested.

If I remember, there was a harness plug available for the license plate light

Hello all, wanted to add my solution to the mix. I ordered the attached turn signal kit. I then decided on what I wanted the rear signal to look like and used 1/4 inch ABS plastic to make the signals using the kit led lights. The tabs are already welded into position with reflectors mounted to them. I then mounted the switch in the location in the picture, mounting the flasher up in the wheel well on an existing screw. I used the power from the 12 volt accessory power right next to the switch location because it was switched power. I then identified the front led turn signal light wires that are installed but not used in the U.S. Left front I believe is an orange wire from the headlight harness and the right side is a light blue wire. These wires come from the headlight but have no corresponding wire in the connector, so easy to identify. I custom heat formed an inner fender cover for switch and flasher relay protection using 1/8 inch abs. The hardest part was fishing the wires because man they pack a lot behind those body panels. I hope this inspires someone else to jump in and make their own signals, good luck. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08P52DZZH?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details

I have a question on your turn signals did you have to use a interrupter on the right and left side or can you just use the same one for both sides and which one did you go with nice job on yours

No interrupter required with the signal kit i used. Straight forward wiring since the front factory signals are not wired in the U.S. models it's like your adding a complete stand alone kit. I did find however that I need to add a thin piece of metal to the back side of my rear signals I made due to vibration and a few small stress cracks in the plastic. I hope I answered your question and thank you for your interest in my solution.
