600 touring fan won’t turn on, overheating
« on: July 02, 2020, 02:07:43 PM »
I have a 2020 600 touring and have about 20 hrs on it, yesterday the coolant bar went up to red and started flashing, then I noticed the fan was not turning on, any advice?

Check the fan fuse. The new ones don't use a thermoswitch that we usually blame so its the ECU that provides a ground for the fan relay by it's input from the temp sensor...and sense the gauge is working I have to assume the ECU is getting the signal but the fan must not be getting power...so check the fan's fuse then check the fan relay. Fan motor could be bad but its just too new for that...usually.

I checked the fan fuse and it looks fine to me, how do I check the fan relay? The 4 prongs on it look fine to me. Thanks for getting back!
