2023 Low Gear Speed Limiter
« on: April 18, 2023, 08:23:14 AM »
I picked up a second cf600 for the wife. Subtle differences but the machine is for sure smoother than my 2022.

Huge downside of it imo is that it is speed limited when in low gear. It would not go over 18-19 mph in 2wd.

Its not published anywhere in the manual that this is normal. Has anyone found a way around this?

Yeah this has been reported and not well received although it will help with what happens to engines being over-reved with little to no load..which I assume CFM has had a few. In all cases these extra limiters take an outside trigger for the ECU and for CFM it has been the grounding of the dash selector LED at the selector switch. All we have had to do in the past for say..the reverse limiter is clip the wire that goes to the ECU to the reverse LED lead. I have a video on that in the How Tos. I would assume stopping the low range limiter would work the same way. This is only a solid guess though. One only needs the wiring diagram to trace the color out to the switch and to the ECU to know where it actually is. Any warranty it will be voided.

Thanks for the reply. I saw RNG's video on de pinning a connector on a zforce. Ill work on getting my hands on a wiring diagram. Though the one that I have for my 22 leaves a lot to be desired.
