2021 CF600 Couple questions.
« on: February 15, 2021, 04:42:42 PM »
We bought this last fall for the wife as her old 330 magnum Polaris was just old and worn out. So far she has 5hrs and 68 miles before the weather got to cold and snowy for her but very exited to start riding again as soon as the weather gets above freezing.
So thinking ahead a little bit i was reading the manual and noticed a few things leading to a couple questions.
In the manual it does not say if to use dyno or synthetic oil for the engine?. Also under the oil change section it mentions to change the filter and clean the screen. What screen are they talking about and where is it located?
Here it is picking it up at the dealer!

On previous models almost no one goes to the trouble of cleaning it because it involves cover removal. However on yours they make it simple...as seen below. I would do it once every 4 or 5 oil changes. As for oil, any oil as long as it has the specs and rating required in the manual. After break-in most everyone goes to a synthetic...and anything from a 0-15w40 is fine.

After break-in you won't find much on it...unless there's a problem.
