2021 600 touring valve lash adjustment
« on: April 05, 2021, 08:50:31 PM »
Hi all. I have a 2021 600 touring I just bought 3 weeks ago. Thinking ahead to the first service, which I will be doing myself.
I have always done my own valve lash adjustments.
Just wondering if anyone has done one,  how much plastic and other "stuff" I need to take off to do the job.

Just tore mine down tonight, not to bad, it’s a 2020 single seat I imagine the 2 up is similar. The gas tank cover is bolted thru the front wheel wells (have to partially remove fender liners) and the side covers bolt and clip thru rear wheel wells. Remove instrument panel then side covers to reveal tank bolts. I had to stop at that point, but now the upper radiator hose needs to be removed to get valve cover off but I can’t find a petcock or a drain anywhere, so it looks like tomorrow I’m just gonna have to make a mess and pull the bottom hose
