Tri-City TrailBlazers - Somersworth NH

Advertised as "Our trails are of the old school, tight turns and rough terrain", these trails were more than we expected to handle today.  They should have include "deep ruts", "deep mud", and "lots of water" in the description as we encountered all of that and a section of woods completely under water (I think the river flooded). They also advertised trail widths as "mostly 60 inches" which I can attest to. If you encounter machines coming in the opposite direction, it can become a real problem. The bridges are pretty narrow, under built, with "interesting" approach issues; tire placement is very important.

Trail repair is pretty sparse. They alter as little as possible.

The  Z8 trail did fine so long as I had the front axle was locked going through the rough stuff. I got high centered once because it wasn't locked, and I was not aggressive enough (read: timid!) running through the deep muck. Lesson learned. Commit! Once again the skid plates paid off! My brothers 800 XC did very well too.

So, if you want lots of mud, water, tight trails, and just want to get dirty, then I would recommend visiting these trails. There are only a few miles of trails available, but what is there can be pretty challenging. Bring your boots, a change of clothes, and lots of friends ;-)

The self-serve car wash on Rt 9 is a great way to end the day; your machine will need it as the heavy muck sticks to everything.
