Got out again on Saturday, my riding buddy's son is visiting, so he got there earlier than normal, only 2 1/2 hours late. It was a nice day for a ride, started out cloudy then broke up some and was raining towards the end. About a 20 minute turd floater during the ride, so we sat it out in a cave. The mountains are a lot greener with the rains that they have been getting, so that was nice to see. Some puddles, but not as many as there would normally be about this time of the year, so we are still behind on the rain. Any rain is nice though. A lot of BS'ing took place during the ride, so we were out for about 14 hours but only covered a little over 70 miles. I knew it was coming eventually because of the way I had to mount the rear box on the 800XC, the rear rack support frame and mounting tube to the frame broke on this ride. I had mounted the box so that I could still use the second seat, but now I'm going to have to re-think that mounting. I have the parts ordered and will need to find someone that can weld the broken pieces so that I will have spares. Some wildlife was cooperative, some not as much. Saw plenty of deer, but only a few stayed long enough to get photos. The lizards are two different ones, they were moving kind of slow since it was still pretty cool at that time.           He was trotting away, if I could have gotten the phone out of the mount fast enough it would have been a good close up of him looking right at me. Full velvet on the antlers.

I got some photos of the broken mounts last night. Waiting for a welder to contact me to see if they can be repaired, the new parts should be in sometime next week I hope.
