Got out on Friday after Thanksgiving, another solo ride. Cold to start, 15 degrees, warmed up through the day and then got cold quickly after the sun went down. Covered about 73 miles total. The areas I rode in were mixed, some pretty deep snow, some areas with almost no snow at all. The nice part was the snow had a nice frozen crust on top, so I didn't really have any problems unless I broke through the crust. Again, I was very thankful to have a winch when I had an oh, crap moment. There was no cooperative wildlife that I saw this time. Enjoyed the ride though. This may be the last one this year, but hopefully I can get out at least one more time. Still haven't installed my grip heaters, just being lazy, but definitely will before the next ride. Here are some photos of the ride, including the oh, crap moment. After getting out of that predicament, a couple of Jeeps tried to go down the road, didn't even make to the area that I got stuck and decided not to try it any further when the first Jeep started sliding.
