Busco Beach ATV park

First trip out with the new 500s. Lots of mud and the first time ever putting it in 4x4. Love the machine so far and even saw a bunch of other cfmotos there. Saw 6 atv and 2 sxs cfmotos. Did my first service after power washing yesterday. Still have mud on the front of the motor and the exhaust header. Is it ok to spray the engine directly?

Looks like a good time.  I personally wouldn't wash the engine if it is hot, warm maybe, but not hot.  I also wouldn't use a power washer, that can force water into areas it's not meant to be.  If you haven't already done so, many people recommend switching your air filter to a Unifilter.

I hosed it down just to get everything wet and loosen up the mud. Then I power washed it to remove all the mud I could see. I filled the soap container on my power washer and firmed up the machine really good and let it sit a minute. Then I power washed all that off again and called it good. The only place it got a lot of power washing attention with high pressure for the wheels and suspension components
