Avon to Byron Maine
« on: June 21, 2024, 07:30:42 PM »
63 mi ride. It was great to get out and kind of explore. Riding by yourself sucks. I tried to take my time and I did but just didn't take enough pictures. There was a big washed out bridge, right near the cabin in the picture. There was a black bear that crossed my path. That was pretty cool / unsettling. Arrived at a place called Coos Canyon... no picture. Anyway the machine ran great no issues. The tires @nmk felt really surefooted so thank you for that! The day before I rode a loop from Dixfield up through Carthage and back. 30 mile loop, really boney. Anyway hopefully get back up next month and bring the bride along which is the ultimate goal to be able to share this with.

Looks like a beautiful area to ride.  Riding by yourself certainly can suck.  I've had to do that the past couple of years.  63 miles is a good ride though, sometimes it's hard to remember to take the photos.  I have learned the hard way, take photos every time you go out, you never know if the area will be the there the next ride.  A lot of area that I used to ride has burned down, fortunately I have some photos before the fires.
