My sxs recently was hesitating, so I changed the fuel filter and it seemed to stop. What was happening she would start to bog down then pick up again. Like I said the filter seemed to take that away, but when I would take my foot off the gas it would stall. It would hesitate to restart but catch. This past weekend it worked fine. I pulled it out of the garage to wash it and it started fine. After the wash I tried to start but no go. It would keep turning over but not catch. Eventually flood.
I checked the filter and gas is flowing thru it but still won't start. Any thoughts?

May be lots of things so you need to check a few off like compression, valve lash adjustment, water in the tank, low voltage to the ignition system, corroded kill switch contacts, warn out key switch .. ect.

Was hoping it might be an easy fix. May dig into it or just junk it.

Probably is an easy fix. Just need to narrow it down some.

I was going to check my injector, but unsure as to how to take it off.
I have some rust particles in my tank and I think the injector may be clogged.

Puckup screen may be plugged. Just pull the unit and see.

Checked and cleaned air filter. Cleaned injector and getting lots of spark.
Still doesn't seem to want to start. It almost did, but I had to then charge the battery.
Will try later. Never checked compression yet.

Again..pull the fuel pump and check the screen...or test the fuel pressure and volume. You could also leave the injector hooked up while out and roll it over to see if it sprays well...which it likely isn't. On mine its that bag-looking-thing inside the plastic slosh guard nest to the pump. Yours being a 13 might be a little different.

It seems to be getting pressure because when I disconnected the injector gas went
everywhere. But I will pull the fuel pump.

Went out tonight and the sxs started, but rough. Leveled out and idled good and shut off.
Still going to do what has been suggested but do you think it maybe the plug wire or coil.
Because after it shuts off and you try to restart it floods.

I check the fuel pump and cleaned the filter the best I could and it started and shut off.
So I then replaced with a new fuel pump, ignition coil and plug wire. Got it to start tonight for a few minutes then shut off again.
Any thoughts?

So..you are just throwing parts at it? If it were mine I would check the mechanicals such as compression, valve timing and lash and sense there were issues with the tensioners check it. Then check the electrical such as system voltage, coil voltage, CPS/RPM sensor, grounds..kill switch.. ect. Then fuel supply as in volume and pressure, injector operation, IACV. If everything is in spec as per the service manual then I would try a different ECU.

If you don't have the equipment to do all this checking I strongly suggest taking it to someone that does cause these things can drive a man crazy even with having everything.

That's what it seems like. I will have to check more into it like you suggested.
Thank you so much for the help. I will have to decide to scrape it, or bring it to the shop. Might be better off to just buy a new one. Back to the drawing board.

If it starts and then floods, sounds like you may be losing spark. Have you checked spark when it is flooding?
