Probably the subject has been covered a number of times, but can't find posts about it.

I'm thinking about buying a UForce 800. I will do some landwork with it and want to use it to ride on trails. I've checked others and this one seems to fit the bill, has standard equipment that I like and I dig a lot the look of it.

Now, I have to consider that I'm not at all good with repairs done by myself. And one friend of mine warns me that reliability might be an issue (he likes the established makers). So, I'm a little bit anxious about buying.

The product & quality is good, do your research. If you want to ask specific questions you will get some very good answers. I learned a long time ago if you want a good answer you need to ask a good question.

What many of us do not do is research the dealer & support for the dealer. I would suggest you focus on this part of the equation.

I have the 2016 Uforce 500 and it has been a solid reliable machine. I recently did a 90 km tour with a mixture of highway, dirt roads and bush trails without any issues and only used half a tank of gas. Very comfortable seating and was not tired at all after the ride. I cranked it up at one point to 89 KPH to see what top speed I could get out of it with 2 men and gear on board and was pleasantly surprised how stable it was going down that stretch of road.

I mostly use mine for yard work and hauling deer out of the bush in the fall. No problems in consistently doing that with ease.

I am sure that the 800 would be even better for you so don't worry about getting this fine fully dressed UTV.
One thing to invest in right from the start with any UTV is a rear winch. I have had to extricate myself twice now from deep muck and was travelling alone in both occasions. They are heavy machines and you simply cannot rock or push them out once the frame is sitting in the thick of it. It saved me walking out for help on both occasions.

Something like this works great to get you out of a mud hole temporarily attaching it to the rear ball mount and is what I use on the rare occasion it is required.

I do not believe you would regret your purchase and if you have a good dealer nearby that would be even better.

I just picked up a 2018 a few weeks ago and have been playing/working with it daily. So far its been a great machine. Is it better then a Polaris General? Probably not but take into consideration its half the cost of a similarly equipped machine and the choice becomes a no brainer pretty quickly. I just wish there was more of an aftermarket parts selection for them but I think that will come in time. CFMoto dealers are popping up all over the US now which should speak a lot to the quality of the product. Only time will tell but so far I have been happy.

If you run into a warranty issue having a good dealer is key. Many never have an issue. I have had some small issues with my Zforce but fixed it myself since it was more of a hassle driving 2 hours round trip each time to drop off and pick up the thing at the dealer. Overall they seem pretty solid. Every manufacturer has flaws and will all have issues, if you don't work on them I suggest you find the best dealer, or have a good non dealer mechanic and save the money and buy CFmoto. They are pretty easy to work on though the service manuals can be pretty useless sometimes, things get lost in translation.

Thank you for all your great advices! I read them with great attention. They confirms what I'v read about the UForce 800.

But last Friday, I went to the closest dealer near where I live, a half-hour drive. The dealers was closing earlier than usual due to a special circumstance and we only could try it for 5 minutes. It was a U 500 instead of a 800. And my experience was not on par with what I have read until then: the responsiveness of the gaz pedal was very slow and there was this big vibration coming under our bottoms, so big that i supposed it would get us numb if sitting on it for more than 10 minutes.  A bad experience far away from what I have read on this site and on other sites. So I supposed that it was a problem specific with this machine and I'll go check another dealer who has the U800 to see if the experience is better, as I expect.

Because we had time, we went to the Polaris dealer close to the CFMoto dealer. And we tried the Ranger 570 and liked it a lot. No vibration, responsiveness of gaz and good dealer. Less equipped, but the price is not that very different from the U800 if you take only the winch, roof and half-windshield and power steering.

I'll go try the U800 and report here after.
