Hi all. I am new to the forum world and to my new Uforce 800. The engine brake didn't appear to operate as advertised so back to the dealer I go. After much discussion it was determined that the engine brake was not installed on my unit as the vin number indicated that the engine is not an 800 but is an 850 and these didn't have the one way bearing to operate the engine brake. As this is a feature which made the sale, I was a little disappointed as it was in the specs on the web page, in the brochure, was discussed with the sales rep and is described in the user hand book in the glove box. A solution is in the hand of the warrantee gods and the unit is destined for a "retro fit". Has any one else out there experienced similar situations. Cheers

Nope. They should have made that fact readily available. The one-ways on the 500 and less are not strong enough to be put on the 800s and larger. And they rely on the traction between the bearing race and the bottom of the belt. V-twins have almost double the ability to slow down.. breaking that grip and if not damaging the belt, will waste the one-way spraggs. Like to see what they come up with. Otherwise you can put heavier slide weights in which will tale the disengagement much lower. It will however radically change the shift-out ratios.
