Uforce 800 2020 Eco/Sport mode switch
« on: February 20, 2021, 08:03:54 AM »
Hello fellow riders. I’ve recently read about a mode switch hidden behind my dash. Behind the blank switch there is an input for an aftermarket eco/switch which helps gas mileage as well as easing up on the jerky takeoffs at low speed. Anyone hear or read about this? I’ve found the switch for sale in the USA but so far nothing in Canada. They say it’s for the new 1000 but also mentions the 800. Seems like a good option to me. Thanks

Welcome. I am told the new 950 has the two modes but haven't read anything about any other. Please post links to this information for the rest of us.

I have the 'Sport' and 'Eco' mode switch. It makes the throttle (fly by wire) less sensitive which is great for trail riding when your foot tends to bounce up and down on the throttle. Also smoother acceleration but requires more travel of the pedal to accomplish normal takeoff.

Exactly! Would you share as to where you bought it? Link?

As requested here is the post from another cfmoto user group on Facebook.

Just picked up my 2021 CF Moto UForce 1000. I have noticed from the last couple I looked at that the display shows it being in Eco Mode. I asked a couple dealers and they didn’t even know it was on there. The dealers called their CF Moto rep and he explained that the UForce in the USA only comes in Eco Mode?! I have researched it and also watched a couple YouTube videos of people and even a dealer at Hester motor sports install the Sport/Eco Mode Switch and has converted it to be able to switch it into Sport Mode. They say Sport mode really wakes up the machine as well. I also read in the owners Manual online that eco mode is not to be used for hard riding and using it for plowing snow and such.

The wiring harness for the switch is tucked back in the dash behind the empty switch plate along with the wiring harness for something else which makes me believe it is for the turn signals as well. I find it hard to believe that they are selling a utility vehicle in the USA that has the capability to have a sport mode but don’t offer the switch? You can buy the switch online and install it yourself as I’ve seen others do, but I wondered how many of you knew it was stuck in the eco mode from the factory? None of the dealers in my area had a clue about it. Also the 950 z Force does have the sport/eco mode built in from the factory right now.  Here is a picture of the part you can order but it is on back order even for dealers for months!

So after ordering the eco switch, with a few calls to cfmoto Canada and dealer, found out switch only works with fly by wire gas pedal. If you have a cable throttle it is of no use to us. Darn
