I'm having a difficult time finding out what the typical output is. Any ideas?

After the rectifier converts the three phase A/C voltage to DC, typically, one for a non-power steering unit will have a maximum output of around 350 watts. One that needs to overcome the usage needs of a power steering unit will be anywhere from 475 to 525 watts. For most CFM SxSs with P/S from 2014-2017...like mine..they are just a flat 500 watts which at 14volts D/C is about 35.7 amps. Your total load should never exceed 90% of that otherwise you risk regulator and other charging problems.
