Is that just a storage box?  What's w/the hole in the top?  You'd think if it's a storage box you'd want to keep stuff inside dry.

The Zs have three, one is open storage...no top, one is for a second battery-that one has a lid with a vent and a bottom drain, and one has the main fuses- it's sealed on top but has a drain on the bottom I believe..

I keep rope and tow strap in mine. Stuff that I am not too concerned about getting wet. You can also put your items in a seal-able pouch if concerned. I have a large tote with lid in the dump box at the back as well so plenty of storage.

Thanks!  It looks like it is probably designed to be the battery box you're speaking of.  The lid is vented (open) and the bottom has a drain.  Guess I'll just enjoy the extra storage space.

Thanks!  I threw my tow strap in there as well and some other stuff.  Like you said, I'll put whatever I want to keep dry in the heavy duty (freezer style) ziplock bag.
