I have a 2015 u force that will crank but not start. i am a mechanic and have checked fuses and etc.
i know for sure the ecu is not running the fuel pump, and it doesn't seem to be firing either.
i know something is triggering the ecu to run but i can't find a cam or crank sensor on the unit or in the parts diagram.
it was fine, i was plowing snow, i went in to warm up came back out and it wont run.
any help would be great
the dealer up here in alaska closed and we have no service or anyone who wants to look at the cfmoto

Kill switch probably. It's either off or it got some water in it at some time. Off it won't have spark or fuel pump.

Is this a 500 or 800? Any codes flashing?

The kill switch also prevents the starter from turning (at least on my Z), so I would look elsewhere. I believe the various interlocks have the same affect.

No fuel pump activation? I would walk that circuit back until I found voltage. There have been issues with poor connections at fuse holders; that would be my first suspicion. I assume there is a relay for the fuel pump, so I would check that as well to ensure it is receiving the trigger voltage as well to ensure voltage is getting passed through the relay.

so there is no MIL light on,
i have traced the fuel pump circuit to the relay, the relay is not getting the trigger from the ECU.
i have checked fuses and power at the little fuse panel and seem to be good there.
i just down loaded the wiring diagram and will be checking fourth later this weekend.
i was told the crank sensor is part of the stater, is this true?

If there is no signal to the relay, and no ECU light, then the ECU doesn't know there is a problem, which doesn't make sense.

Is there power to the ECU? Check any ground straps you can find as well.

Any loose power cables at the battery?

that is exactly where i am headed but it will have to be the weekend before i get to it.
a thought i am having is that it might be a crank sensor not giving the ecu a command to start but i must try the grounds and powers to the ECU first.

I should think the ECU would complain if it were the crank position sensor.

But, if it helps, the CPS is located on the left side of engine at about 11 o'clock just at the base of the cylinder.

Yeah that would show as an error..anyway the fuel pump should still pressure-up regardless..and the fact that the fuel pressure sensor isn't throwing a code also tells me what's happening is a function that causes it to ignore these sensor inputs. JMO

i want to thank you guys for helping!!
so long store shortened, the ECU had no power to it, i traced it back to a larger electrical connection down by the ECU. I found a green and nasty wire terminal that had rusted off.
i made the repair and all is well now.
