« on: June 26, 2021, 02:33:10 PM »
Purchased A Uforce1000 in MN. Went 30 miles and quit running .idles but no response when you push on foot pedal... Been at the dealer since I bought it. They have replaced the brake controller and ECM.. They are working with cfmoto engineers and know one knows what the hell is going on still after almost two months and cfmoto customer service is unresponsive. Will never buy from them again..

Sounds just like what happens when the throttle control unit fails...like many hundreds have. Their first attempt to go throttle-by-wire didn't turn out so well. But they have it down now so..

I agree.. when you push on the foot pedal it does nothing. Just idles.. one would figure that cfmoto engineering or the dealer could diagnose this in short order. Still not fixed. Was called by cfmoto and they do not know how long it will take and there is no recourse. Cfmoto is telling me to work with the dealer and the dealer is telling me to work with cfmoto..Who is liable for, responsible for the product quality and who has the customers back.. still not fixed...

30 miles?

The dealer should buy it back or give you a new one if they can't fix it.

Agreed. Cfmoto will only send one part at a time and the dealer has no clue how to fix. It is an electronic fly by wire drive system and they waited another half a month to order a throttle control/ foot pedal. Can not believe they can not test to see if it is faulty right away? Like two months ago..They ordered it yesterday7/7/2021Hopefully get it back before summer is over!! Left more messages with CFmoto..they will not do anything to get this expedited. They just tell me to work with the dealer.. time to get a lawyer...

"Lemon Laws" do apply to ATV/UTV, etc.
There may be an opportunity to recover financial losses under state or federal lemon laws.
This depends on the exact specifications of a state's provisions.

Hopefully don't have to go that far.

Just tell the dealer to keep it and refund your money for non-performance and selling a product not fit for its intended purpose.

Latest update. Dealer tried the ecu no luck. Dealer ordered a foot pedal.. took a few weeks before they informed me it would be Late aug to get the part from China. I went on line and found one in NY and had to make several calls to get them to purchase it. Could have been 2 day vs. 1 month. Dealer installed foot pedal and this did not fix the problem. Last week they ordered a main harness and that did not work.. Talked to the dealer Aug 10th. They told me at this point they had no path forward ,still no throttle responce, high idel and several code. I Have called CF moto usa in plymouth MN. The dealer actually e mailed the cfmoto Rep and CC'd me to the fact they can not fix the machine with the guidance they are getting from cfmoto. Called CF moto so many times with the same BS responce to work with the dealer yet they approve the warranty claim. Let see if the Rep calls and where it goes from here.

I hope none of you have these types of issues because CFMoto will not go the extra mile for the customer. Lets see what the rep has to say...if he calls...

I am having the exact same issues with my Uforce 1000. Road two days. Everything was great for the first six hours. Check engine light on, rough idle and no throttle response. Dealer is telling me CF Moto has never seen this issue. Dealer told me to try calling CF Moto to possibly “light a fire under their butts”. If you hear anything can you please let me know?

I got a call back from the dealer Wednesday.  They said they checked the connections on the main harness they installed and it started working.  So it looks the main harness was the issue. Odd . Maybe a bad connection on the original since the replacement did the same this initally.. hope it goes well for you. Taking it on a ride tomorrow to see how it goes.

It has been over two months. Replace/replacing ECU and wire harness Friday and Saturday but no call back so I’m guessing did not fix the problem.

Did you get your machine back?  What was the issue?
