UForce 1000 EFI MIL on
« on: April 01, 2020, 04:51:10 PM »
Hello, I am a new owner of a U1000.  Recently i noticed that the EFI malfunction indicator light is on. I checked the manual and searched here, but in my case the MIL is not flashing it is a steady on.  It comes on when I turn the key on and then stays on after starting the engine.  It never goes off and never blinks.  What does this mean?

May just mean something is unplugged. But the Z1000 and the U1000 share many of the same systems. I don't have a U1000 service manual but I do have a Z's. Download the file below and look-up the EFI system and error codes. It will explain how to make it flash or..in the trouble shooter it may tell you what to look for.

Thanks I looked at the EFI section in your manual but it looks like it just refers to using the PDA to get EFI codes.

I see that, thanks for pointing it out.  If I read the translation correctly, though, it is still all about a flashing MIL, not a steady one.

Yeah...they need to work on the translations a bit more. Kinda funny...until you find things like two different torque specs in two different places in the same manual. IDK..maybe better to take it in.

I now have this same issue... Solid MIL light, no blinking. Has anyone found an answer to this issue yet? Thanks for any assistance.
