Are these windscreens designed to be in the fully open position when driving at low speed? Presumably not, but thought I would ask.  Mine has this fitted, but there is no mention of it in the operators handbook. The online shop page says "Tilting system designed to allow the windscreen to open into the ventilating position."  To my mind it has two open positions that increase ventilation.  4" open using latches and wide open like a barn door.

Yes, if it is built like the SATV tilt it will handle slower speeds just fine. On my SATV tilt it actually goes up a bit past level/horizontal so the wind tries to lift it and at about 24mph it gets enough upward pressure I can not pull it down and because the struts are mounted to plastic I limit my speed to under that. I also close it down to at least the open lock position on very rocky roads or trails that shake it back and forth. Looks like the CFM tilt is slightly less then level so as the speed increases the air pressure would tend to push down instead of up like mine. I would think when that starts happening it time to slow down a bit. The struts would slow it shutting but still..don't think you want it to slam shut.

Good to know. Thanks for the information. Yes it does look like the geometry of mine will lead it to slam shut rather than rip off which is good.

Ive driven mine fully up at speeds up to 10 mph with no issues. I was wondering the same thing. Thanks for asking!

Sense my cage-chop mod mine sets up even farther so I'll have to remember that on my first road-run.
