« on: May 20, 2021, 09:59:51 AM »

has anyone tried using another brand throttle max for the uforce 1000 or built one themselves since there is not one available to CFmoto yet ? trying to find alternate to help wife and daughter with jerky throttle so they would feel comfortable driving.

Just picked up my 1000 this past weekend. a couple points / issues. The manual says to run this thing around in L gear most all the time, which certainly does make the go pedal VERY touchy, and running it in H gear, I can smell the belt at the lower speeds. Has to be a fix to adjust the sensitivity of the go pedal!  I will be following with interest....

I'm just going to toss-in that CVT systems require enough RPM engagement to ensure no belt slippage beyond the initial tip-in. This means- no slow taking off as that is 100% slipping up to full engagement which is about 22-2400rpm in either high or low. Between 3-5mph in high and about .5+ in low. The fact that you now smell the belt says it's already burned and glazed and will start slipping even when engaged very soon...then the excess heat and cord damage will cause it to come apart once the damage level is high enough. So...some adjustment may be needed in the way it is operated..or something is very wrong with the throttle system.

Thank you for the response.
I'm familiar with the mechanical workings of CVT systems (had a few golf carts, and go carts). I assumed the 'tip in' would be at a lower RPM on a larger more expensive machine then it was on the golf carts.  It was easier to slow roll my EZGO Workhorse then my new Moto, and I sold the workhorse to help fund the moto. (Seems its just something that will require lower expectations and not lower RPMs.)
On the Low or High gear question, if I run this around in Low, the jerky / touchy gas pedal and the quick slow down rate after releasing the gas pedal are a bit annoying. Anyway to adjust that?

If yours has the throttle-by-wire system as I believe it does, there is no mechanical way to change that behavior however..as in many cases, a different peddle control unit may well prove to.."behave" differently. Of course as for the clutches weights and spring changes and clocking to tune it more to your needs is always an option.

My 2021 u1000 does the same thing , about impossible to drive on rough terrain , some of it has to do with the angle the pedal is at for taller people , my wife can control it better than I as her heal is planted firmly on the floor , Also dealer says it is what it is , may be time to find a better dealer .

I don't know if this is an option but all the older cable controlled units like mine had too light of a peddle springs which made it bounce and actually have to hold your foot up..which fatigued the foot. A simple increase in spring pressure fixed all that and made it smooth as glass on even the roughest trail. So..if you can place your foot on the peddle and relax it and it pushes-down with just the weight of your foot...CFM is still using too light of a spring in these units and there might be a way to fix that...or add an extra spring for added resistance. Worth checking. You have to push the throttle peddle and hold it by pushing...not holding the foot up.
