Yeah, I cocked up and winched in park.

Now when in park I can push the machine and I hear the pawl going tap, tap, tap, tap.

I mean why even give these machines a park that is (as I have since learned) so weak you can't even trailer the vehicle or park on an incline with it?

Rant over.

So I guess I should drain the transmission and check for shrapnel?
I have a small usb  inspection camera and a flex magnet so I'll have a fish around when I'm up at camp next

Yeah I believe adding a "Park" to an off road vehicle was a big mistake. Most don't do it. I never use mine...ever....and now, because of one small mistake...you don't have one.

Park on my 2022 Uforce 1000 has not worked since the day I brought it home. It makes a ratcheting noise. When I called the dealer about it, he said to run it for the break in and they will adjust the cable at the 1st service. I didn't know you weren't supposed to use park on a hill or when trailering. The dealer never mentioned it either.

If all the other detents are aligned it's likely the paw is damaged from trailering.

Never, Never,  Never, Never,
Use a winch with your vehicle or side by side in park. Always park brake and chocks with vehicle in neutral.
A damaged transmission is the result from winching in park.

You would think that would be common knowledge...but surprisingly...it isn't.
