Pre filter

Since having the engine rebuilt
I’ve been look at doing a change to my intake above just running a uni an over the last mth I’ve tested a few things
now moving the intake would be the best but I Didn’t want to yet lol

So I’ve found a uni that fits so snug inline behind the intake screen an after riding a bunch of dusty trails ya it was dirty but so quick to clean and if plugged on a long trip ya could just pop it out an still have main filter

Up-4200 pod from uni

Food for thought 💭

As long as it never under any conditions has any restriction you should be good to go. I run an oversized Uni in the airbox and another standard 5x4" in the inline can. Even without the Donaldson it took quite a long time before making restriction on my 800 but there were times..very dusty conditions.. when it did before one ride was over...let alone several days. I could tell when I was asking more then it could get so I kept it under 4K. Now with the Donaldson, I only have to service it every couple of trips and still one big one in the air box only needs it once a year..and that's just to get fresh oil treatment on it.

I think this is a great ideal ... if someone has ran a snorkel trying to get cleaner air ... I would love to see it .... the uforce 1000 may be the worst sxs I've owned for dusty filter.
I use ma's panty hose to cover the filter and clutch intake cover ..... and a prefoam filter I had laying around for the filter intake ... but .. I like LazyDayz system better ... I just had this stuff around.
