new to cfmoto and wiring question
« on: March 31, 2023, 10:08:28 PM »
I picked up a 2023 today and have a few questions. I was told that the 2023 1000 may not have some of the connections for me to easily install turn signals and possibly not be able to use an OEM turn signal toggle switch can anyone confirm or deny this?
I looked for the flasher module and couldn't find the correct one for the 2023 model does anyone know the part numbers I would need?

I found a few empty/capped-off Molex connectors and was wondering what OEM option they were used for sorry for the poor pictures

I named the image files to correspond to where I found them if that helps

The 2023 Uforce 1000 will now use Flasher part number 5HYV-161000-1G01
but I have not found where it plugs in as yet. It is a completely different flasher
and mounting see pics if anyone knows please post.

if you take off the front cover I have a cable laying between the fuse block and winch wiring and I think there are 2 empty screw holes to mount it to. If I could get a flasher I would already have the answer I just can't find one in stock anywhere. I can try and confirm the flasher matches the wiring I have when I get home.

That would be great. I ordered the flasher from
CFmotousaparts I had to call them to get the right part number
and he said they were going fast.

I think this is it. it looks like your relay is 8 pins they are known to tuck them underneath if it's not laying up top. pull the lower driver-side plastic off and take a look

Found the location for the 2023 flasher see attached pic.
also new for the 2023 you no longer have to cutout for you switches
all the switch location are now removable blanks.

Thanks for posting your findings on all that. For the flashers themselves, did you find a plug to use under the front or rear? Most video's I've seen they spliced into a line that ran to the headlight or taillight plug.

For the DIY turn signals you will still need to splice into the wiring
for both the front and back. For the fronts you would splice in just before the headlamp
connector. Or if you have the right tools you can add the pins and wire to the headlamp plug
For the back there are several different options

1. use a trailer convertor
2. Tap into the wiring like in the front
3. Convert the rear backup lights

There are videos on youtube for these

Just a word of caution to those who want to tap into the rear backup lights to use them as turn signals.....I'd check with your State/County/City ordinances first for making it street-legal.  Turn signals are supposed to be Red or Amber, not white.

Right...Red on the rear and amber on the front. It's the standard.
