Pretty loose. I've seen some that was the rack more then the ball end. Might pop the boot clamps and slide it out of the way and confirm it's all in the ball end. Can always use hose clamps or zip ties to re-install later. They don't use much lube on anything and people found the units dry.

I think that’s todays plan the other side is tight but can hear metal clicking in there

Am I seeing it correctly that the end an rod are one piece or can I just not see any threads ?

The rod has a ball under the boot that rotates and does come off the rack. The outer end is removable.

I seen that but it doesn’t show that it will come off the shaft or even sold that way like you have to buy the whole thing from boot out as item #41

Yeah...you do have to buy the complete unit...#41 or # 32 depending on what side it is.

We’ll if I decide to change the rack seeing as that’s the issue an they sent me one already myself instead of them doing it
I may just take the whole tie rod assembly in an see is canam Polaris or even the automotive shop can source the same set up with changeable parts

SuperATV had a setup for a Polaris RzR 800 that many of the ZF owners went to. It did take some rod and mount modification but the outcome was very good. Others who's racks got destroyed from water and lack of lube pulled the new ones apart, re-lubed with high-grade marine grease. They also drilled.tapped and installed grease fittings and used narrow hose clamps on the large end of the boots so they could pump fresh grease in and push and water out sometimes. It also gives them a chance to toss some lube on those ball ends.
