Went for my first good ride and about 25 miles into it engine light came on. Drove it home bike ran perfectly fine but light stayed on. Contacted dealer was told to take it for a good ride and it should be good. Light was still on so I disconnected battery and going to check today if it's still on. Solid light no code. I've heard it's common but it seem no real solution is posted any suggestions would be appreciated.

The check engine or MIL light doesn't come on for no reason. Something is wrong..somewhere...and it should generate an error code. It may only be a loose connector but are you sure there is no code on the dash showing? And are you sure its the engine light not the maintenance light? Can you take a photo and post it?

Just an update reconnected the battery light was still on. Ran it a couple of times around my property and it went out. So I'll see what happens hopefully it was just a one time thing.

Get a cheap obdII reader so you can read and clear codes. I bet it is the O2 sensor low voltage.

I would not always get a code on the dash (or i would miss it) since sometimes it would flash the code a few times then disappear but the mil would stay on.
