I don't have a dealer around here. The dealer I bought from had so many complaints from customers they are no longer an authorized dealer.

Bummer. Well it's not running right so something's wrong. Historically CFM has had problems with poor quality in connectors & splices, electrical components and quality control as in line inspections.

So I just took my meter and set to ohms. I out the black to frame ground then touched the ground pin if each relay socket "85"

Main relay .718
Aux start relay 11.92 LoZ
Low beam relay .055
High beam relay .053
Fan relay 11.89 LoZ
Fuel pump relay 11.89 LoZ

Pin 30
Main relay 11.98
Aux start 0
Low beam 11.98
High beam 11.98
Fan 11.98
Fuel pump 11.94

Yes my battery is a little low from troubleshooting with key on

I would expect some slight resistance readings from the open receiver/socket to solid ground but not that high on any of them..and especially not voltage readings. Says there is an open chassis/system ground somewhere to me.

That was my thought as well but I am by now means a dc electrical expert. I ordered a service manual today now just waiting on the mail man. Hoping thar shows all the grounding points and I can trace down the issue.

Has anyone put a belt on it recently? The chassis grounds meet with the main battery ground usually on a bolt on the CVT cover. Might take a look to see if all is OK there. I think there is two plus the battery cable if like the Z.

The belt is original but I'll def check for the ground at that location. Thank you!

So i just went out after charging the battery.

Battery voltage 12.34
set meter to ohms

touching the engine i get 12.34 LoZ

excuse me for my ignorance but what does LoZ indicate as i get that on some ground readings on the machine but not all?

When I Google it I get this: "LoZ stands for Low Impedance (Z). This feature presents a low impedance input to the circuit under test. This reduces the possibility of false readings due to ghost voltages and improves accuracy when testing to determine absence or presence of voltage." Looks like this is a feature on some of the better multimeters like Fluke...although my old Fluke doesn't have it. That aside, 12.3 volts on a fully charged battery isn't acceptable. It should be 12.7 and higher. 12.4 on one that's been sitting static a while. If your meter is right...I think there is something wrong with that battery. Take a reading on another 12 volts battery...like yours car or truck.

I put it back in to fully charge. It was at 87 percent when I took it off. Really hoping the service manual comes in soon so I can better trouble shoot. Sad thing is I used to be a heavy equipment mechanic and prior to the epa crackdown I would write custom tunes for my truck and this damn machine is kicking my butt.
