Hello all, new to the forum, hope someone can help me out here. I have a 2021 CForce 500, been a fairly flawless machine since I purchased it new in Oct 2020. It%u2019s been sitting idle in my garage with a broken rear fender for 6 months. I have cranked it here and there, but it%u2019s been over a month since I tried to start it until today. It took 6 months to get my new fender, today was my day to put it on. So I tried to crank it before disassembling the rear. Dashboard came to life, could hear the fuel pump, but starter just clicked when I tried to start it. I figure no big deal, I have to pull the battery anyway to replace the rear fender. So I pull the battery, put it on a battery tender trickle charger, for roughly 3 hours (tender green light was flashing which indicated battery is around 80%). Long story short, I get the fender replaced, everything back together, I go to try and start the machine, my dashboard lit up but with nothing except a line across it, could not hear the fuel pump, headlights do not work, hit the start button & nothing happens. ALL I did (electrical wise) was remove the battery & unplug the tail light. I%u2019m at a loss here, I went back and looked for a pinched wire, I see nothing. I messed with nothing electrical. I have used to the battery tender before on this machine & never had a problem. Does anyone have any ideas? Battery terminals are correct. Just seems so odd because it would have started before I started work had the battery been charged.

Welcome. First, take the battery out and have it load tested. Even though the tender showed it was charging, it may have a problem. While there inspect for any extra wires that may have been hidden when re-connecting the battery. And finally, as so many have had bad main fuse holders, not fuses, check that with the key in the starter position, there is the same reading coming into the fuse as leaving it. You will have to probe the wire isolation to do so and seal it afterwords. 

I'll have to take it to work tomorrow to load test it. But even with a weak battery, shouldn't I be able to hear my fuel pump & have headlights when I turn the key on? I mean all of this stuff worked before I removed the battery earlier. There are 2 wires each on the positive & negative battery terminals, I see no loose wires or anything out of the ordinary.
