Would you buy a CFmoto now?
« on: April 26, 2022, 08:27:49 PM »
I am in the market for 2 ATvs,  Thinking of CF 500-600 but hearing about part shortages, if anything goes south.  Local dealer has a bunch of them but msrp, +$1295 prep and ship,  $2% tariff and $250 "ocean ship fee"???
Should I wait or pay up for a Japanese brand?

That's a decision only you can make based on the expectations, needs and of course.. budget. Everyone knows anything from Japan is far superior in quality then China...even though CFM is one of the best from there. The question is..what will the total of the two of either cost and how will that balance against overall reliability...and possible down time waiting for parts if/when needed. For the guy that spends only 500 miles a season or less on the trail, that may be an easy decision and lean one way.. where a guy that spends thousands of miles per season might lean another.

I Have One Yamaha for me and one CForce 500 for my daughter
Zero problems with The Cforce 500 and zero problems with my Kodiak
the Cforce has 732 mile in one year the yamaha has almost 2500 miles in 2 years
I have to admit that i really like the cforce 500 and it was $3000 dollars less.
As I write this, I realize,  I agree with the last reply (It Depends)

I can’t get parts for the 650 brute force or the 850 sportsman in my shop any faster then I can for my Uforce 1000 right now
So check your local dealers of other makes on supply’s if that’s the only reason your debating the brand

Otherwise it’s really a person choice
I waited 6yrs before I pulled the trigger an never even seen a uf1000 just called an told them to take it out of the crate an picked it up only set eyes on it the day I took it home
