Thinking of buying a CF Moto but which one....?
« on: July 05, 2018, 11:47:07 AM »
Found the CF Moto range purely by accident and have spent the last couple of weeks researching and wanting one more and more.

We are after a quad bike for both business and leisure purposes. We run a horse trekking centre with 32 acres of land to look after, therefore our top priorities are...

*To be good on especially hilly terrain.
*To be able to tow a chain harrow and have a sprayer attached to the back.
*To be able to handle the rough stuff for trail riding and emergency off road use on the National Park.
*To have some fun with, so a good top speed would be an advantage...!

This has lead me to the CF Moto 850XC, this looks a beast of a package for the money, with all the bells and whistles you'd expect to be paying double for, for a Cam-Am or the like.

Was however wondering what the rest of the range was like, would like some honest reviews if you do own this or any current CFM models, as looking to buy new.

Thanks!

are you looking for a quad or a side by side? The uforce 800 might be right up your alley. The zforce 800 is more offroad capable as you have more clearance more suspension travel and can lift it pretty easy but you won't have a bed in the back. It does have a hitch and can tow I think 1500lbs in low range. If you are looking for a quad I really don't know much about the CFmoto quads but people seem to have been happy with the 800's

Looking for a quad ideally, a side by side would be great, however the access tracks on the moors are quite narrow in places.

In the CFMOTO ATV line up the one you are looking @ is their best, ride quality, handling & power. Very good choice.
ZF 800 LX Trail, stock for now.......not for long.

It was either this or the X8, have to try and justify the near £900 price differance! However, it does appear that the 820 does have more torque and power than the X8, ideal for the hills we have on our land.

Reading between the lines, the X8 is a facelift of an existing model and the 820 is brand new, i'm hearing the CF Moto later models relability wise are very good compared to the earlier models?

Well I looked and read a lot hear and numerous other product forum. Coming back countless times. I didn't have the confidence in these CFMoto Z series SxS along with a fairly long travel distance to the dealer.

I've bought 2017 Wolverine RSpec SE which comes with top of the line Fox shock fully adjustable as well and skid plates and more from the factory. It had 80km on it at the dealer and I got a year warranty thrown in for my confort. I prefer a more proven platform with quality parts which I am not seeing with CFMoto.

Good luck to you all.

Price point was very close to the 800cc as well. Not enough of a difference in Canada.
