I'm having thermo switch issues. I ordered the aftermarket switch that has been mentioned on this forum, but the connector is round where mine is square. I have a 2016 z800 ex EPs. Its under warranty, but I'd have to borrow a trailer and drive two hours round trip. TIA.

Yeah that's why when or if mine goes, I'll just get another CFM switch...or one with a pigtail that I can wire in.

2017 800 trail got 60 miles on it died once when backing off a log ( read on one post possibly crappy factory air filter on these machines) haven't changed it yet! And I have slack in one rear a arm not loose suspect bad bushing going to replace that myself instead of having to carry it to dealer and wait! And like everyone else clutch is noisy when taking off or backing up from dead stop it's loud clang when clutch engages other than that very happy! Lots of power and lots of fun!

At 150 miles did first oil change, looked like 2 year old sludge with all kinds of junk floating in it, not metal maybe some kind of break in oil ? Kind of looked like it had graphite in the oil. Very little metal collected on the mag oil plug. At 200 miles, did 1st. valve adjustment, they had actually tightened slightly, none loose. Only other issues have been the standard loose / missing nuts-bolts, tailgate latch missing both nuts and one entire bolt, fixed under warranty, door latch replaced under warranty, power steering stopped working after right turn, (not left, only right...?) and would not work again until machine was restarted, ECU replaced under warranty, ECU fuse holder melty, also replaced, probably due to overcurrent due to faulty ECU, rear a arm grease fitting snapped off (over torqued?). All relatively minor issues, but irritating none the less. I popped for the extended 5 year warranty for an extra $1200.00 I think it was.

I bought after market with square thermo switch that works.
Let me know if needed I bought 2.
Thought I had a issue with mine. Ended up being a fuse that blew. Make sure you check your fuse for a non working fan before you buy switch. Unless yours is older than a 2015 supposedly they updated these thermoswitchs which were a fix to the z8 2015 and newer.
Like I said. If you need it let me know I can send it over to ya. I think I have 20.00 with shipping

Update: after receiving the thermoswitch, I found it wasn't the issue. It was a simple fuse after pulling the entire front clip off to get to the relay for the fan.. so for all overheating issues check fuse first before you dive into it! I checked the fuses on the trail at first but checked the ECM fuse instead of the cooling fan fuse. I got things backwards... oops!

2015 ZForce with 5500 miles on it now and is going into the shop for the second time next week to fix the hold back clutch.  I have a couple more years for warrentee left so shouldn't be to bad.  Been a really good dependable ride so far.

270 Miles on a 2016 800 ex. Pretty sure my rad fan died, tried jumping the two wire plug and turning the key on but the fan still didn't turn. Blade spins freely so I'm going to call dealer tomorrow.

Fuse problem happened to a lot of us. It only happened once to me. If muddy conditions persist I'd recommend relocating the fan and radiator.

100 mile mark - two oddball items:

Found a stripped zerk fitting on a rear control arm. It just spins in place but doesn't fall out.

The license plate lamp was apparently hot enough to melt the housing the lamp sits in and the plastic shield the housing  screws to. I'm replacing the lamp with an LED (runs cooler).

Both will be fixed under warranty.

Not a problem but, I figured I could post this up here.

I finally retired my factory rear tires at 1602 miles.  There is probably enough tread on them to last 2000 miles.  I'd say 40 percent tread left.  These tires served me well.  They performed in every condition I threw at them.  They gripped in rocks and boulders.  They even held up in the coal wasteland where I live.  It ranges from razor sharp gravel to silt that is way finer than anything you could find in a desert.  You can't imagine it until you've been to the coal region.  I was especially surprised at how well they worked in snow.  The snow was up over the hood and I was still moving.  Uphill.  I'm not a big mud rider.  No tire is gonna help you when your sitting on the frame.  I only recall getting pulled out once.  There are some plugs in the sidewalls and tread and a few cracks in the sidewall that I don't trust anymore.  The sidewall plugs were caused by narrow trails where I ride and me being new to a SXS.  I believe that increased SXS traffic is widening the trails ever so slightly.  All of the punctures were withing the first 500 miles of owning the machine.  If a quad fits so should a SXS.  Not true.  That rock or railroad tie is going to catch the sidewall.  I've removed a few rear fenders too!

I have 2 new Abuzz tires for the back.  I figure by the time they are worn out the fronts will need to be replaced too.  I would recommend these tires to anybody that needs a good all around tire.

Ok folks, here it is. Had a problem with the zforce. Went out for a rain ride and started hearing squeaking coming from suspension. I found a rock and rode one front tire up on it to allow the other to "hang" and checked it for tightness. Holy A-Arm movement! Bushings were shot. Called the stealer (alpha sports) they want 21.60 for each bushing! I myswell trade it in for that kinda repair (lol) so I ordered RZR's conversion ( way less money and way better material you can find in the how to's part of this forum I believe it was NMK that posted it.
I will be changing these over:

While I was out voyaging around I stopped for a stretch break and lone and behold.. flat tire left front. I'm running interco sniper mud tires in a 27" and left front with no air (8ply) I had to limp out of a trail 3miles to be able to meet my wife and load the buggy up on the trailer. While driving slow out of the woods I had to back up on a hill. Snap went my my axle.
