Need Advice Please
« on: April 24, 2018, 08:59:09 PM »
I am getting ready to purchase my first Side By Side. It’s going to be my wife’s. We have looked and test drove just about everything in a 2 seater and she likes the UForce 800. My question, is my local dealer has a 2017 in camo that he will change the brake master cylinder out for the new updated one and the winch out to a 3500 lb one. He will let me have a 2018 silver one for $1900 more. Both new. My question is should I go for the 2017 or the 2018 with all the updates on the brakes. And is there any other differences in the 2 other than the brakes and winch? I need to let him know in the next couple days.  Thanks in advance for you input and help.

To my knowledge the brakes and I guess the winch were about the only things different but keep in mind..what will that 17 be worth when you take it home -V-that 18? I suppose if you plan on keeping it for a while it really won't matter though. Maybe go to KBB and look up the differences between one year on the UForces...say between a 16 and 17.

Yes we plan on keeping it a while.  By the time we sell it, if we ever do I don’t think one year makes a difference.  Really I was just wondering if the 2018 was worth the $1900 more in new features and updates.

If he was going to update the parts to the new parts and the 17 was still going to be $1900 less than the 18 I would absolutely go with the 17. Good luck finding any values worth a damn on CFmoto went thru this with a kawi dealer when I was thinking of trade they couldn't find any good info and was basically checking to see what similar ones were selling for online.

Thanks for the advice. Dealer was great to work with and gave me a really great deal so we went for the 2017. He changed out the part in question with the updated ones still gave us the great price. He is adding some accessories we wanted for his cost and installing them at no charge.  Couldn’t ask for better customer service. Looking forward to getting out on the trail with the whole family now. Tku again for the feed back.
