Model year 2017 vs 2018 Uforce 800
« on: January 28, 2018, 03:59:24 PM »
I am ready to buy a new UFORCE 800 from an authorized dealer in Mexico. I have seen reports that the 2018 model year vehicles have an "improved brake system" over the 2017 model year. Can you provide a brief description of what the improvement may be?

Thanks, I'm new here and my name is Gary

Welcome Gary. I'm not aware of any brake improvements over the 17s but maybe one of our dealer members is.

Haven't seen the 18 U yet but ALL the other18s have upgraded brake systems.   I have replaced several masters on the U machines.

@Procycle98

What is the upgrade ?? My U800 hast a kind of brake problem: De brakes are very difficult to air out. De pedal is very deep before it starts to brake and wen I want to brake at max it hits the floor. We have bleed the brakes several times, but can't fix it.

By changing the "master" you meen the pump were you can fill the brake system ?? I am still under warranty and my dealer can't fix it.

Just got a couple of U8 today.  Not 18s but late 17s and they have the new upgraded brake system.  I can see that the calipers and pads are bigger.  The rotors are solid an the master is completely different.  According to the update sheet, the knuckles, and disc guards are new in addition to all calipers lines and master.  Should be together in a day or two.  I will let you know how they feel.
