Model year 2016 vs 2017 Uforce 800
« on: October 15, 2017, 09:23:23 PM »
Hi everyone. I just joined to post this question. I may become a more regular visitor here. I just sold my Yamaha Rhino this last weekend and I am looking at the Uforce 800 at my dealer.(he now sells 10 CFM to 1 Yamaha) I was just looking over the quote he gave me for a new CFM and notice that it is for a 2016 model. Are there any changes in the 2017 that would make me want that instead? I was just looking at a video for the 2017 because I hadn't seen the 2016 on the quote.....they show the winch having a remote as well as a corded switch for control. This the same on the 2016? Any other advice you can offer?

I would love to have a hard cab for this if I buy it. Have any of you found one in the US yet?

Tons of questions...but I will stop there for my first post. Looking at a camo Uforce 800 that will mainly be used out west elk hunting and also deer hunting here in Minnesota. (Getting to where I hike in, hauling stands etc)

They are the same as far as I know. They may have upgraded the air filter in 2017 but you can do that yourself. There tons of info on the site search around

Thanks for the advice. I have been browsing around and I did go see my dealer this morning and he tells me they are the same with no changes.

I have been trying to figure out how to get a hard cab for this machine but so far no joy.

The dealer is getting one prepped for me so I can test drive it. Maybe later today I can log on here as an owner instead of a "thinking about it" member!  8)

Yes, they are the same, the only hard cab options I have seen in the US are ones bought that way from dealers.

$5200.00 from Canada, plus probably ungodly shipping.

Also some Elka suspension on these would make them nice...I put a 2" lift and 28" tires on mine, can't hardly make it scrape anymore.

If that is Canadian dollars it works out to about $4,200 and depending on how far you are from the border you could take the Uforce over with you and install it there to save taxes and shipping. They also sell doors in Canada and it might be a good idea to see if your dealer will cut you a super deal on a roof and front/back windows to make the sale and only purchase the doors from up north at CA $569.

That's what I was thinking, good excuse to cross the border, he might even find one of our members to lend a few tools and a place to install everything and perhaps hit a few trails together before heading home.

You guys are awesome! Some great ideas here. I am still waiting for the dealer to prep the 800 so I can drive it. In the meantime I am surfing looking at a LOT of used Ranger 900 set up with cab and heat already! Some of you likely came from owning Polaris.....any thoughts now that you own CFM?

Tell your dealer as part of the prep you want a TwinAir or Unifilter air filter installed. No exceptions.

Canada has big discount on the hard cab, maybe check it out. Well over 1k off!

When I was @ the Cdn dealer convention I drove the UZ800 with the hard cab option. Wanted to try it out & see if the value was in it, I thought it was awesome! I would "not" suggest their heater option, Cooper has a good one.

I've seen some soft cab options, not up close & personnel. Big price difference.
ZF 800 LX Trail, stock for now.......not for long.

Well I got to drive it today ..... sort of. I had to keep it in their yard which is mostly plugged up with equipment, boats and such. The ditch in front of their business was being worked in by utility workers. So I didn't really get to test speed, suspension, and anything else.

While I am still thinking on this purchase I just ran into a private party sale on a RZR 900 xp 4 that has a lot of options on it. Bumpers front and back, spare tire and carrier, winch, doors, cab, tracks, plow and quite a bit more that I am forgetting.....all for around $10K.  I have to say that I am looking hard at this one.

I did drive a couple of other Polaris Ranger 900 today and was going to head back to my dealer and tell him to get the CFM all dolled up with the options I want....and then I ran into this used machine. It is at a dealer but is owned by a private party. So now I am really confused and once again am open to suggestions.

Thanks for all your input to this point. And the dealer does have those air filter kits on hand btw.

If it is a 4 seater you need to really think about your ride style and where you ride. the 4 seater RZR's are VERY long you lose a lot of maneuverability and you get high sided easily. Personally the only time I would consider a 4 seat RZR is if I rode in the dunes or just straight easy fire road riding, they are great for that. Trail riding, technical riding, rock crawling, tight trails I wouldn't consider a 4 seater. The XP is also the 64" wide one correct? That's 4 inches wider than the CFmoto.  I Would like a 4 seater but would look more at a teryx 4 or wolverine X4 they only have 5-9" longer wheel base than a Cfmoto rather than 2 feet longer of a RZR

Good point..as I have pulled a 4-seater RZR off from being high centered in the mountains....with my CFM...lol

My concern with any used motor vehicle is how hard it was driven and what maintenance was performed on it and for me it is even more of a concern on an off-road machine, we know how hard some of our members ride em ;D, in addition, this Polaris has tracks and a plow which in my mind makes me ask how hard was this machine was worked, when I purchase a used pickup I look for one that has light use I am not interested in one with a 10,000 pound hitch, air shocks or lastly a 5th wheel hitch in the bed, even if I needed a 5th wheel hitch I would rather find the lightly used truck and add my own JMO, good luck with your decision.
