So, as the subject says.  Currently shopping for a SxS.  I'm down to either a 2017 Wolverine R-Spec, or a 2016 CFMoto Demo with a bunch of extras - just over 550km on it.  The Wolverine's about 4k more (Canadian), but the dealer is literally less than 1000 feet away.  I bought my sled from them, and they've been great to deal with.  The closest CFMoto dealer (and the place that has the demo at a great price) is nearly 2 hours away.

So, CFMoto owners - is it worth it?  I have a truck and trailer, but hauling a  SxS on a 4-hour-return-trip if it has issues is going to suck.

Mostly trail-riding, but our trails are relatively harsh - NE Ontario, lots of swamps/rocks/etc.  The CFMoto seems like a hell of a deal, but I'm just stuck on the round-trip.  Is it worth giving CFMoto a shot and hoping for the best?  Reviews seem solid, the dealer is rated well.

Hmm..first, welcome to the forum. I've had pretty good luck with mine but I don't put it through a lot. 4-hour round trips would be an issue if I wasn't able to do all my own stuff as well...but 4K less would also have to be a nice incentive. If I was going to work it hard for years, I probably would have to go with the R-spec but just a couple of thousand miles or less per year of average trails..yeah, the Moto is what makes better sense...from my prospective.

If you know how to wrench a little bit I would go with the moto. I for one don't like wrenching, I can but I don't really like to. So when something small goes wrong with my machine... It is more worth it to me to spend 30 minutes fixing it rather than 2 hours each round trip (for me) and being without the machine for a couple weeks. It just isn't worth the annoyance to take it to the shop for the little things. Now if I had a big failure yes I would take it to the shop, but most are not  having big failures, just tinkery stuff, adjustments tightening bolts ect. If you cannot or will not work on it, then I would go with a closer dealer. They ALL have issues I promise so just go with a dealer that's close if you don't want to tinker with it.

Your question is similar to what is "best". It's the value to you & what works for you, anything off road like your sled you may need support  & what hassle factor you are willing to deal with.

4K is good money in your pocket, my attraction to the product. CFMOTO dealers need to be better than the other brands, have you checked the dealership out? Beyond the showroom, not reviews....what is the shop like.....have you chatted up the doods in the shop...clean...organized? You are two hours away how do they handle service & wtty issues by phone?
