I wouldn't buy another CF moto product
« on: March 17, 2022, 05:58:25 PM »
745 miles and engine oil pressure light came on .changes oil filter and had shavings and bearing material.Did not make grind noise..I parked and called a dealership..Got appointment for dec1 2021.. sat in my barn from oct till dec and that as earliest anyone could get it in .As today it is still sitting in the dealership tore down waiting for an engine..I called Dr headquarters and they said my engine was sitting in warehouse but dealer has not contacted them as of yet to get it. 4 months at dealership.warranty runs out in may and they will not give me warranty credit for the time it sat..also sat at another dealer like 4 months before this incident for 2 months and nothing got accomplished other than fix a remote failer .2 months for that..so all together it sat 8 months 6:of those months was at a dealership .So when I get it back problem April I will only have one month warranty left. Cfmotto is the worse customer service I have ever encountered..I would steer clear of this brand..What suxs is I am still making payments for a machine I can't enjoy and if something goes on it when I get it back a month later it comes out of my pocket. The very worse. .  750 miles on it and feeled the tank over 9 times easy.. that was one of the problems I took it in the first place. Bad gas milqg and kept stalling and all they said computer was fine and fixed the winch sensor...

2020 uforce 800..  Ran like crap ever since I got it.. Filled atleast 9 times and always stalled when first started it and pushed the gas pedal for the day.  Every single time. I called the main branch in Minnesota and they said I was pretty much screwed on any extended warranty from them and I called cornerstone 3rd party warranty they came with it also and they said they same thing.. We are sorry but once warranty expires in may its done, She said that this ticket would still be good though for this claim even if they dont get it back to me by may..This is ridiculous.. I would rather have my money back and go buy a different brand..

Well that sounds a lot like the same experience I had with cf moto customer service.  I bought the machine because of all the good people had to say about the company and standing behind their product.  I think it might be a thing of the past.

A couple years ago the did a good faith warranty on my dads 800 z force due to a leaking case. It was a year out of warranty.   How times change.

I must admit to being in a quandry. I have had my old CF500 ES for a good few years and it has been pretty good. Rear brake does not work even though local agri engineer tried to fix it with a new master cylinder - but I did not want him to progress the work as the front brakes went rubbish until I took a tip from this forum and tied the front brake handle to the handlebar!

The price of all quads has gone a bit silly in the UK since Covid and I wonder if they will come down soon. We run a smallholding and I do not think I could justify the silly cost of a Yammie or the like. Besides, the winch and rear storage box have been very useful over the years.

I wonder how much it would cost to sort the old girl out! Exhaust is full of holes and the carb float sticks frequently so I have a small sealed soup carton to catch the overflowing fuel and put it back in the tank! (Especially important with fuel costs in the UK at the moment!)

I shall do a bit of research. At least the new CFMOTOs here have two year warranties.

I was really thinking about purchasing an Uforce 1000. I’m definitely thinking my options now.🥲
