Hello Everyone. soon to be a new CFmoto owner ( i think )
« on: October 26, 2017, 09:05:02 PM »
Hey guys. iv been watching the forum for a while trying to get all the info i can get, today i decided to introduce myself and my doubts.

I was always a ATV rider and dirtbike. unfortunately i dont have that much free time anymore so i sold my atv  ( had so many i cant count but last one was a polaris 800 and a king quad 700) so i sold my atv and my dirtbike and im on the market for a sxs. that way the GF can enjoy with me and also the dogs.
i like Polaris so first i went to see the RZRs or even the Rangers. i cant seem to like the 50 inch ones although that would be the way to go since some trails are narrow because they are snowmobile trails in winter so they put the gates. anyways i like the 60 inch, i looked at the RZR570S and its a cool machine but i think its underpowered. i could get one for 16000$ off the door tho, then i looked at the Artic Cat 700 and i really like the looks of it. i can get one for 14000$ ( 50 inch ) also looked at a used maverick 1000, but not a big fan of can am.... and then i started watching videos of the CFmoto Zforce 800... well a new dealer opened 30min aways from me and has the 800 eps for 12999$ and totally gets my attention, especially the 5 year warranty !

So this saturday im gonna try to test drive one and go from there. iv been soaking all the info i can get from them and so far so good. only bad things i hear about them is guys that never tried or even seen one...

i am a little worried about customer service like backup on warranty if something goes wrong. also it seems a little tight inside...

Anyways im gonna keep you guys posted on my decision but so far the Zforce has my attention

Cheers

If you have been reading all the posts you should have a good idea what to expect. Guys here are pretty honest about issues and dont try to sugar coat things. Go sit in one and ride it if you can. Get the ride you really want and you can't go wrong.

I'm 6'3 230lbs for me it is a decent fit. I hit an elbow once in a while on the cage but seating is not bad you just down have any center console or anything as the body is the same as the 50inch, the 60 inch they just add fender flares. For the price its a decent machine. I've heard a lot of bad stories about the AC now, bad roll cages and surprisingly they roll easy. I was talking to the guy in Gorham NH that owns a huge fleet or RZR for rentals. He started with Arctic cats but he had 40 rollovers in one month and went to the RZR's. Really weird because they seem they would be more stable. Maybe they felt more stable so people went faster with them IDK but that was his story and he had a lot of them.

I was a little concerned about the ZFORCE 800 Trail stability.........until I drove it  :) I've driven the EX wide model as well.

When you are price shopping make sure you include the multitude of standard CFMOTO features included in the price. A couple of smaller things such as the separate hand/park brake & lock out shift that's a big deal when park on a hill or kids that might bump the shifter.

4 pt harness, standard in the CDN version....we had a wreck here last May....destroyed the SxS. Not only did the couple walk away they drove it 18km back.

Service & support are key to any brand, marketing sell the product service & support retain the customer. A CFMOTO dealer needs to be better in this regard.

Thanks guys. In terms of looks the Cf moto takes the prize. Just need to paint those chrome bumpers haha
Im gonna try to at least get a half windshield with the deal. How is the stock winch? Can it be trusted?
I like the look and sound of the artic cat. Funny i would assume the AC would be stable since its the one with the lowest cog i believe. I really like the rzr but not so much the price tag of the 900 amd the 570 i think it will be underpowered.
About the zforce so far what i learned is to get a proper air filter and re check the bolts on suspension etc. I can do that 😀

Canadian version c/w the proper air filter  ;) CFMOTO Canada uses their own air filter & Battery  :) You are good to go.

No corner cutting @ PDI, Head alignment will be off, throttle cable adjustment will be off & so will the wheel alignment.

Bumpers are Stainless Steel BTW.
ZF 800 LX Trail, stock for now.......not for long.

The winch is ok. Easy to swap out to a larger one if you want and use it on another machine.

I went with rope on my winch.  The stock winch works as good if not better than the Warn/Polaris on my Sportsman.  The best accessory is the roof.  You may not think it until, you ride without it.  I took my windshield off.  Depends on where you ride.  In North East PA a windshield has no business on a SXS.  We have too much mud, dust, silt, trees, rocks and crackheads.  Despite what most people say your better off without it.  No dust, no heat, and no mud. Wear googles.  If you want a windshield, buy a Jeep.  That being said, I love doors.  They are expensive but, worth it.

Congrats. Enjoy. Be sure to do that air filter.

CMI, the Canadian distributor, does foam filters stock.
