Hello Everyone!

We just added a 2019 CFMoto ZForce 800EX to our garage. We are an adventure group that is trying to tie the adventure communities together and we are dipping our toe in the video waters. I know there are several videos out there, but thought we would take a shot. Please feel free to watch and provide input. Please note: we are extremely new to this format, but hey you gotta start somewhere

https://youtu.be/QfPpXU_EsOk

Thanks!

1. can someone finally put the myth to rest about these being elka shocks!
2. unless your dealer rolled an extended warranty into the price. The manufacturer warranty is 1 year. Anything beyond that would be 3rd party.

Thank you for the reply. I just found that Elka engineered the shocks and CFMoto makes them. As for the warranty, I do have a 1 year bumper to bumper, and 5 year powertrain. I am in the US and have the warranty info. Because of your comment I am adding the disclaimers in the video right now and will be pulling the wrong one as soon as it is done. Thanks again!

Kill the dumb music, I cannot hear what your trying to say. Use the music of the engine if you need sound to fill the gaps.

Nice. There was a few thing I might have done differently. Things like: doing a walk-around before getting it all dusty and only once...and a quick pace so as not to loose interest and with either voice while doing it of as an overlay, no "non-audio" sections. And I always found music while talking always overwhelming to the message so I either don't use it or have it so low I almost can't hear it during production.

On a side note, looks like the end of Southern where I also ride sometimes. :)

Thank you for the input. The music was a struggle and went back and forth on this topic for sometime. I will definitely take your input. I really appreciate your time and response!

Thank you for the input! I am finding this video thing to be a new skill to learn and also a skill that takes more work than it seems. I have been posting videos, but in the format that I like to call "Rider Porn". Which means riding videos with very little editing and additions.

This was filmed in the desert closer to the Watermelon Ranch. I do have an end of Southern video, but if you are in the area, hit us up. We ride almost every weekend and most afternoon during the week. Thanks again for spending time to reply! I am checking out your videos, have a great rest of the week!

The machine in the U.S. come with a standard one year warranty from CFMOTO, anything beyond that is a 3rd party (not factory supported) warranty.

1) There are persistent rumours that the CF Moto shocks are Elkas, Elka inspired, Elka design, Elkas, but just disguised... etc. etc. The stories seem to all trace back to "I heard..." or "a dealer said" or "Canadian models all come with Elkas."

Complicating things is the point that CF Moto Canada did issue a Canadian Special model that DOES have Elka shocks as stock equipment. Red ones.  8)
But the regular models, both USA and Canadian (can't speak for other nations) come with CF Moto white shocks not designed by Elka.

Unless on some secret level Elka engineers did give CF Moto some tips on how to make shocks, in which case CF Moto screwed it up so badly that if I were John Ilkiw I'd deny any and all association with those appalling white things too.  ;D

A couple of years ago I asked my contact at Elka that very question. His reply, point-blank...and slightly heated, was that they had no association or collaboration with CF Moto in any way regarding the CF Moto shocks...or any other manufacturer for that matter. That if it didn't clearly say "Elka" on it, it wasn't theirs in any way, shape or form. Now that was a few years ago and things may have changed.

If the video plays the same for others as it did for me, it seems only the first two minutes and the last one minute have sound, the rest of the time there is silence.
When the sound was heard, the announcer's comments were buried in the noise floor of the music and their meaning was hard to decipher.
It's a good first effort though, and I can't argue about the subject matter. :) Cheers.

Good lil video. Agreed the music is a little overpowered at times but that's a easy correction on future videos. Just a personal input, I'd pick up a DJI Osmo mobile, Osmo , smoove or similar gimbal so the walk around shots are nice and smooth.  (My 2 cents) keep up the good work and welcome to the family.
