CFmoto 450MT/IBEX or Himalayan 450

I will probably do a long trip next year with a small group organized by a organiser. The trip is from Netherlands in Europe to Japan. We will be visiting remote areas where supplies/help/tyre-supply can be hard. Like Tjadjikistan, West Mongolia and some areas in Russia.

I first was interested in the Himi because it has tubed tires (TT) and the lots of marketing you see. The CFmoto seems no option because of TL tyres and maybe not so well known in some areas if you need supply, but you can carry some offcourse.

The Himi seems the sensible decision, but after I road the CFmoto I'm torn between them. The CF gave me a smile while I don't like the looks. But looks are no dealbreaker at all.

Any thoughts on TL on this kind of trip and reliability? I also prefer CF because valve inspection/adjusting is every 40K KM and for the Himi it's 10K the first 2 times. Also CF uses a standard oilfilter and the airfilter is easialy reachable without removing the tank.

On the tire issue, any tubeless tire can take a tube by removing the valve stem and installing a tube. On the overall trip, I don't think anyone here would consider anything that far...but if so, and JMO, not sure CFM would be on the list of possible machines to take. Also with all the supplies and materials you will have to pack and take with you, not sure a 450 is the best choice either. The overland 1000 might be a better choice. Good luck though. If it does happen, document well and take lots of videos and pics for the rest of us.

If it is an organised tour then they should be able to recomend the best bike to take. For my money on such a trip the CF would be my first choice because as you said the maintence intervals are longer and easier to do. Good luck which ever you choose and enjoy your trip.
