Ok to keep everyone in the loop:

We're currently at the cap of the site's storage limit plan with MyWindowsHosting.  There are no new restrictions that have been applied to members specifically, but we are out of room with the current hosting plan.  I've checked on upgrading plans and the difference is going to be > $500/year to stay with MyWindowsHosting.

Next steps from my end are going to be to find a more reasonable hosting service that suits our storage needs and isn't going to break the bank.  After I find that I'll work on transitioning the site to their services and get out from under the storage cap.

In the interim, the best recommendation I can give is to use imgur to share your photos.

Thanks Jason. OK folks, so like Jason says the best is to let someone else store and host your photos like Imgur. I also found resizing your old attachments to web-small gains some room as well as deleting unnecessary attachments.

I'm looking into unlimited storage options through other hosting services so that's the goal.  That would eliminate the need to use Imgur, but people could pick and choose what suits their preference.

In this case it is that they want/need to completely change hosting services as they are at the end of what they can do with what they have. For companies that do this for their business it's done in no time. For a private individual who just has a site on the side like this one, it's just not always as easy.. or a priority. But I hear ya..I wish this would get done too. Never hurts to send personal messages to Jason...you know...the old "pester-factor"

I'm not trying to be a complainer, but you if have a forum, and are looking for a way to have LESS people visit it, then not being allowed to easily add photos is a pretty good start.

Oh I agree. I don't think he expected it to grow to what it is now. I guess I am glad he doesn't just pull the plug.

Supposedly they were going to make a change this week, pending their resources.  Sounds like some work is being done.  Looking forward to being able to add some pics!!
