General Discussion / Rebuild kit?
February 11, 2024, 02:49:10 AM
Guys I'm searching for a top end rebuild kit for a 2019 cforce 500

Specs are 495cm 191r

Right now I've only seen one that will fit & I'm not paying the $500 asking price. Is there an aftermarket substitute?

Everything I've found for the 191r is 499cm which all part #'s are the same. From what I can gather the 191r 499cm has a shorter stroke than the 191r 495cm << is this true?

Guys I had the hardest time finding a scanner that would read these machines so I saved my lunch money and bought a semi good one off of Amazon fairly cheap considering.

Hey NM what scan tool works on these machines? I just got the hard back service manual today, but to do much of the testing I need a scan tool.

So the wire for the o2 on my bike is suppose to have 2 straps that you twist very horrible design. The o2 wire is maybe 3" at max from the exhaust - once I finally got my side plastics off and gas tank 1/2 of the straps wasn't there. The dealership should ultimately check these machines over prior to buying, however, I've seen multiple incidents of the bikes being sent out with missing/loose parts.

General Discussion / HELP!! 2020 cforce 500

Guys I have a 2020 cforce 500 little over 500 miles on it. My o2 sensor wire fell down onto the exhaust melted, when it melted it ruined the o2 sensor and the computer so I replaced both. Took it to a dealer they said it's the throttle body but a new one it'll fix the issue. Bought a new throttle body, didn't fix the issue, they then said it's the wiring harness, bought a new wiring harness still nothing. I then was told the idle air control replaced it still nothing. So far the computer, throttle body, wiring harness, idle control valve all have been replaced. The bike is running super rich, spark plugs are black really wet a lot of smoke coming from exhaust. I'm at a loss - the only code it's throwing is for the evap which I deleted when I bought it. The bike will not idle correctly, and if you give it any throttle it'll try really hard to rev up but then act like it's hitting the limiter. The dealerships around me are horrible so I'm left to fix it myself.

One thing to note - if I unplug the fuel pump it'll rev up like it's suppose to, plug it back in and it struggles.

I have a new injector & fuel pump on order. If those don't fix it I'm setting it on fire (jk) I just want my bike back! HELP idk which way to turn or even go any help would be appreciated

What made you believe your idle air valve had went bad? What was your machine doing or how was it acting?

Replaced the o2 once I realized it was melted and we ran it for a couple days while it was running rich only noticed it because of the bad miss and smoke coming out the exhaust - where is the converter on my machine?

Both ECU & o2 have now been replaced
