Old thread I know. Anyone found a newer version of DForce that is compatible with newer android builds? Wont install on my pixel 7 running android 13.

UForce 1000 / Re: Good Morning all and a question about break in….
May 05, 2023, 09:27:35 PMQuote from: Gman-26 on May 04, 2023, 05:50:55 PMI had actually already seen it on youtube previously and that is why asked the question. It was never going to fix the difficult shifting problems! It simply adjusts what the gear position indicator displays. Hence your issues remain. Mine is definitely getting better as it beds in.
Logger,
I adjusted the linkage under the passenger seat. Search YouTube you will find it. However my shifting problems still persist but did get slightly better.
QuoteParking on a hill is a nightmare. Most of the time I leave it in neutral (except on hills). The emergency brake wont hold it. I too think the breaks are improving slightly with time. Ive had to get out and push mine to release the pressure. Body rocking will not do it alone. I have not run into any error codes...yet! All this aside I am enjoying it on the homestead. Small Holding I think you call them.
What I have done is intentionally is to use my service brakes to give them a chance to heat up and wear in. I am on a farm and with some big hills. So instead of using the "Electronic hill descent control" when going down a hill (yes mine has that feature in Australia), I have on a few occasions put it in neutral and used the service brake as I descend. This has lead to the brakes working better overall and my emergency brake (as you guys call the hand brake) is working considerably better now.
Quote....I will look into the clutch kit. Ive seen the Vid on youtube. While it did look easy I wonder if there are any warranty issues I need to worry about?I find it hard to believe CFMoto have not spec'd their OEM clutch springs and weights in the manner as they have for a reason. So you may have a warranty issue with a clutch kit should it be seen to impact an interrelated system. Lets say your drive belt wears prematurely and you want it swapped out under warranty they may tell you to go jump. OTOH it should have no bearing on warranty for unrelated systems I would have thought.
Something else I have noticed after reading how the 2023 model 1000's have had the seat belt interlock removed. Never experienced the earlier model, but it strikes me they may have done this so the throttle cutout at 8mph or whatever it is can be linked to the emergency (park) brake. It now cuts power if you exceed approx 8mph/15kmh with the park brake light on. This is a good feature IMO.

Hi from Australia where I also have a brand new Uforce 1000. It is now 5 days old with 80kms. Mine has displayed all the same issues that you have reported. I did not see any of the smoke though my dealer test rode it for 6km post build. He told me it was initially Smokey and asked if it persisted. It has not. I am interested in your comment on adjusting the gear shift indicator linkage under the passenger seat. My understanding was that this procedure simply adjusts the trigger points for the dashboard gear indications and has no effect on actual shifting. Can someone clarify this?
I think the stiff shifting when new is related to coming to a stop with the transmission still under load. A workaround is to shift to neutral momentarily after lifting off the throttle at very low speed to unload the drive train. I have also come up against the park position pawl locking when parked on a slope several times. I found I could unload it without the need to force the shift lever by rocking the buggy back and forward with my body weight in the seat and shifting away from P on the upslope swing. May not work on a very steep hill though. I have heard of someone resorting to use their winch to release it too! My service brakes are crap, but are improving slowly as I drive it more I think. Apart from that I had a solid CEL come on at 30kms that I OBD'd and it flagged O2 sensor voltage implausible. Cleared it after seeking confirmation to do so from my dealer. It has not returned so was transient.
Apart from that it is a lot of fun and i am really enjoying it.

Good to know. Thanks for the information. Yes it does look like the geometry of mine will lead it to slam shut rather than rip off which is good.
I have a lot to learn about my brand new EPS 1000 and it is great to have this forum to pick everyone else's brains.

UForce 1000 / Tilt windscreen fully open position?
April 29, 2023, 02:11:12 AM
Are these windscreens designed to be in the fully open position when driving at low speed? Presumably not, but thought I would ask. Mine has this fitted, but there is no mention of it in the operators handbook. The online shop page says "Tilting system designed to allow the windscreen to open into the ventilating position." To my mind it has two open positions that increase ventilation. 4" open using latches and wide open like a barn door.

The cup holder idea is a good one, although I do wonder if the tilt windscreen grab handle on mine might get in the way when closed. The amazon mount looks good too.

Good question. Just got a new Uforce 1000 EPSTrek yesterday. It has a plethora of cubby holes but no obvious place to securely stow a mobile phone while keeping it visible and close to the charge ports.
