I ordered a service manual so I could better test the sensors. The speed/rpm sensor checked out ok. Fuel injector was in spec. I pulled the valve cover and checked the lash which was good.

Pulled the throttle body to check for smoothness. It seems kinda jerky and course watching it as you work the pedal. I dug into it to make sure it wasn't binding and is smooth if you operate it by hand.

I checked the ohms on the T-map. Temp side was good, but between pin 1 and 4 I got 1520 and between 3 and 4 I got 1560. Cfmoto manual doesn't go into this bit a polaris uses the same sensor . Polaris gives a range of 2400-8200 pin 11-4 and 3400-8200 pin 3-4.

I couldn't find and testing info for the crank position sensor.  It showed 15000 ohms across pin 2-3 similar vehicles say this should be 1000 +/- 10

Both speed/rpm and CPS sensor had a small amount of grit on them. CPS had two small wire looking peices about 1/16 and 1/8" in length.

Just an update. I installed a new fuel pump, fuel pressure is rock steady at about 48psi and never moves. Fuel pressure no longer bounces around everywhere. However, it still surges and pops through the exhaust. I've double checked everything and continue to find nothing. To me it acts like a vacuum leak, sucking air from somewhere but haven't found anything.

Again, starts and runs good with plenty of power but won't hold a steady throttle and pops through the exhaust.

Clean fuel always, stored inside, good fuel pressure and volume, good spark plug, o2 sensor and any other sensor I can monitor via obd2 checks out ok. No corrosion or frayed wires that I can find, and all fuses have been swapped and are good. It is very drivable just aggravating that a new unit doesn't run right. What am I missing, lol

Thanks for the help, I'm going to get a pump and go from there. I did run it with the gas cap off to rule out a vent issue. I'll report back in a few weeks, fixing to go out of town.

On the flow test I ran the fuel line in a jug, and powered the pump for 1 minute. Measured out 2.3 liters multiplied that by 60 to get the 138 lph. That's a first for me so hopefully that was a correct method.

As far as I can tell there is no fuel filter other than the sock on the pick up. Fuel in the tank is clean and fresh.

Ok, did some more testing. On a flow test I got 138 lph, got 2.3l in 1 minute and did the math.

On psi again, at idle 40-45 psi, 2200 rpm 38-45psi. 4000 rpm 35-45 with dips as low as 32 and highs to 47. Very erratic and fluctuates more when it's acting up and popping.

Bad pump?

The fuel pressure gauge I have mounts in line so can be used while running. The 37 psi was after the pump primed and before starting. When started the pressure jumped to about 44psi. I varied the throttle while watching the gauge and it stayed between 41 and 44 psi. The 35-37 psi was only with the key on and no start.

It was acting up while I varied the throttle.

I was able to check for codes, it shows nothing pending. I've inspected every fuse and rely, wire harness. I pulled the fuel pump, visually looks ok, pump pressure holds at about 35-37 psi after prime and before starting. While running it's 41-44psi.  I checked the o2 sensor with my obd2 reader, it looks ok to me, quickly switching from .1 -.7. Spark plug looks good. Checked for vacuum leaks by spraying starting fluid around throttle and intake, got nothing. Cleaned map sensor, no change. Pulled fuel injector, nice fine spray.

Again, it idles fine, and accelerates strong. Only while cruising or trying hold a steady throttle it will very in rpms, surge up and down and pop through the exhaust.

Any other ideas and things to look at would be appreciated. Really don't want to pay the dealership to look it over only to say they all do that.

Thanks, that's definitely some stuff I hadn't thought about yet. I still cant believe the engine light hasn't come on. I just ordered a new OBD2 scanner today so hopefully I can at least see if anything is pending. I had been using a cheap bluetooth one with my phone and it won't connect anymore. I've tried to check the basics but haven't seen anything obvious yet.

UForce 600 / 2023 Uforce 600 throttle issues
March 21, 2024, 04:45:50 PM
Having throttle and running issues with a 2023 Uforce 600, with 130 miles. Ive had it over a year so I'm assuming the warranty is out. While cruising around in the mid-range the throttle will surge and you can hear it cutting in and out through the exhaust. It's almost like you are bouncing the throttle while driving. If you're sitting still in neutral and give it a little gas holding the pedal in one spot it will do the same, surge up and down and pop through the exhaust.  Idle seems fine and it accelerates strong with plenty of power. Just the mid-range steady throttle given issues.  Any ideas on what to look for or known issues would be appreciated.

I have checked plugs, fuses, spark plug, and looked for damaged wires.
No check engine light, been having trouble getting my OBD2 scanner to connect.

That's what I determined from the limited information I could find.

In case anyone is interested or has the same problem, I fixed my issue. Evidently, 2023 models have a low gear limiter. After doing a lot of reading, I came across a YouTube video by RNG performance where he shows a way to delete the limit by pushing out a pin on the main wiring harness to the computer. I read in the comments that it worked on the uforce 600. Took about 10 minutes and now I have no issues and full power running up my hill.

I just found this in the manual

"Limp home function: When a fault of the electronic throttle body or electronic throttle pedal is detected, the system will enter into torque limitation or limp home mode. If a fault occurs in the electronic throttle body, the engine will enter into torque limitation and RPM returns back to be idle state. If a fault occurs in the electronic throttle pedal, the vehicle will enter into limp home mode, and the top RPM will be less than 5000rpm."

Seems to be my issue so assuming there is an issue with the pedal or throttle body. I'll check for anything obvious tomorrow. Are there any known failures or issues in this area, any testing info for above parts to see if they are in spec.
Thanks.

I just did some testing this morning. On flat ground all seems fine, low gear will go to around 20 mph and 5150 rpms before power is limited. High gear had no issues on flat ground, plenty of power through 6100 rpms, will break the tires loose. My farm is in a river bottom and when I go up the hill in low I only have full power for a second then it limits me to 4600 rpms, frome that point it just bearly crawls up the hill. Floored it bearly hits 9mph in low. The hill is not that bad, it's up and old road that I drive a tractor up. Once it goes into this safe mode or what ever it is, it won't let you accelerate, and if you switch to high gear it carries over. You have to turn it off for a few minutes but will do it again as soon as I start up the hill.
I've tried normal and work modes and get the same. It's only been in 2wd, haven't tried 4wd, and the parking break is off, seat belt on.
Maybe I'm expecting more than I should but it doesn't seem normal. This is my first sxs but I've had several atvs in the past and they would spin all the way up the hill if you gave it enough gas.

And Triton, thanks for testing yours for me.

I haven't tried it in 4wd yet only 2wd,  but it does it in both high and low.

UForce 600 / Throttle/power issue
April 25, 2023, 09:08:18 AM
I have a 2023 uforce 600, only 25 miles. I have been taking it easy since I picked it up in March but the last few days anytime I get in to the gas it kills the power. It's like there is something limiting the power. Seems like anytime I go over half throttle. It's runs strong with no issues up until I  go over half throttle, then you can floor it and nothing, just revs a little bit, it will bearly climb the hill on my farm and won't go over say 20mph, rpms stay low as well.

I'd rather not take it to the dealer if I don't have to but not sure where to start. To me it asks like it's going into some safety mode and limiting the rpms. No lights or codes that I can see on the dash.
Thanks,
