EPI Performance / Winter Comes
November 14, 2022, 10:18:28 AM
Hey all, just a technical note when it comes to CVT operations in the snow as winter is upon us and snow started here in Minnesota.  Snow wheeling can be a ton of fun and deep snow roosts are awesome.  For CVT longevity, think of it as a high load, high torque application and the clutches are working really hard with not a lot of air flow so clutch temperature will be increased.  This can lead to early belt failure fir sure.  Make sure you are looking at your air ducting for ice over.  Thermal shock can also impact belt life, let your machine warm up the CVT before getting after it hardcore.  Noone wants to be stuck out in the snow trying to change out a belt!

Thanks and happy wheeling!

Most of the kits will include a Primary spring, Secondary spring and a set of weights.  They do make the machines much more "spirited".

Thanks!!

General Discussion / EPI Clutch Kits are now available!
November 01, 2022, 10:46:03 AM
Hello everyone,
I am from EPI Performance and I wanted to let you all know that we do have a selection of clutching options available now for many CFMoto machines!  We are excited to announce this.  We couldn't have done it without the ongoing asking from you all and the support of NMKawierider.  The models we currently have kits designed for are as follows:
500 C Force S 2018-21, 600 C Force 2020-22, 800 ZForce EX and Trail 2019-21, 950 Z Force Sport 2019-21, 1000 U Force 2019-21

I know it is small year span, but those are tested fitments.  If you all know of cross fitments let us know or if you try one in earlier models let us know what you think also!
Part numbers aren't up on our site yet as they are so new so give us a call or email and we can help you out!
Thank you!

General Discussion / Re: Primary Clutch Problems
August 15, 2022, 04:05:19 PM
Between What NMKawierider and Glenlivet said the slow speed high load operation are definitely what did in the original clutch.  Looking at the pictures of the original failed components, and correct me if you guys think I am out there, but you could in theory clean up the sheaves drive faces, install a new spring and weight set and properly reassemble and be on your way.?  I have worked on many a CVT machine and have seen worse ones come in and go back out the door with a little elbow grease.  Then again, if the sheaves are ground into and there is material burned out of them then they are scrap weight.
