Hi....Sounds insane however when I made my bars and inward wired them, I simply zip tied them tight and stuffed them under the tank. I attempted to dismantle the saddle however surrendered 30 min later and said F it. Mines a 05 however assuming that you simply slide the tank back and do what I did it, it'd most likely save a lot of hassel. Ought to be something similar for yours.
