I have just acquired a 250T v3 2007 model scooter and know nothing about them. When I turn the key to on I get all the functions except starter and ignition spark. Shorting the terminals on the starter solenoid the engine turns over but no spark. All the fuses are ok. It may be the kick stand switch but not sure how to check it?
Any suggestions are most welcome!

I am Allan, I have been riding bikes, if you count scooters, since 1959 when I was 14, still have 3 going motor bikes, 2 Honda CB450s and a Honda CB500T and ride regularly with friends if I can find any, if not I ride anyway. I do all my own maintenance and repair work.

I have just acquired (been given) 250cc V3  2007 model "scooter"? it is in poor shape having stood for years outdoors and been spray painted with silver-frost, yuk! On the brighter side it is very low mileage 4228 km has lots of compression but no spark at the moment have not really started to look for the problem. Will be seeking advice from you guys!
