CForce 800 XC / Re: Fan motor
December 26, 2024, 11:46:26 AM
Yes I have done the bench test.

That fan on Ali express looks like the same motor, but the fan itself wouldn't work because of the hole mounting space.

I guess it would still be cheaper to just take the motor off that then buying a whole assembly. Hoping the motor is as easy to come off as the stock one.

I was able to separate it. Pretty easily actually.
I have looked online and havent found anything that looks the same.

My guess is as long as the plug is the same and the motor isn't completely different in size another manufacturer should work right?

CForce 800 XC / Fan motor

Hi,

Recently my fan motor has died. Sucks only have 900km on my bike. After searching it seems like I have to replace the whole assembly and I can't just replace the fan motor

Does anyone know of a company who may sell these separately?

General Discussion / Re: Problems with CFMOTO

@NMK. The problem started while I was still under warranty, brought it to their shop and thats when they just replaced the termo switch.

@Lazydayz I have taken the cap of to bleed the possible air out of the system, I did that around November thinking I wouldnt find out till spring/summer if it actually worked. Yet when I took my bike out in February my bike still reached 5 bars.
Thank you for the drawing as I might need it depending on their responses.

@Ulfthednar The only thing I have done to this bike is add 2" lift kit and snorkel kit. This is my first ATV so I have yet to become a mudder. Sure I have gone in the easy stuff, but yet to have been stuck before, fins spin easy and rad looks pretty fresh. Also I am using the premium gas

As you said and what I have read from other people on this forum that 3 bars is their normal and sometimes goes up to 4, fan kicks on and back to 3.
When I first got the bike I noticed my bars went up to 4 and usually stayed there the whole ride. Hardly ever went down to 3. So I always assumed 4 was normal because the booklet doesn`t say otherwise. Which makes me believe there possibly was a problem from the beginning.

Yes fan is constantly running if I have a 20A fuse in, the 15A kept blowing but other than the technician, nobody believes you should ever have more fuse than what came with the bike.

I forgot to mention. Its a 2021 CFORCE 800XC and I have 850KM on the bike.
It was at 710KM before I went on the wide open trail that was about 100KM long

Hi,

I am canadian and live in Toronto, I am not sure if anyone else has had problems with CFMOTO and your warranty like I am currently dealing with.

I have been told the dealers in Canada compared to USA are much worse with how CFMOTO treats their dealers, and then the ripple effect of how the dealers treat their customers.

I had an overheating issue since last year, First time I took my bike in they replaced the thermo switch, I took my bike home, went for a ride in a wide open trail going about 50km/hr. Thought everything was okay, till I got into smaller trails and slower speeds. Then my bike overheated right away.
Took my bike in a second time, They replaced the thermostat gasket, took it home on a small trail and overheated right away.

In the middle of winter I went for a ride on the trail by my house and it climbed up to 5 bars.

I have been in constant talks with my dealer technician who has told me 4 bars is normal for the bike, then I read on this forum that everyone else seems to say 3 bars is the normal.
When i was continuing to blow 15A fuses, the technican told me to use 20A fuses.

Now this dealer is telling me I can bring my bike in but the warranty does not cover removing the radiator, cleaning and replacing it. They are trying to charge me a 2.5 hour labour service.

Fed up with this dealer I contacted the other one closest to me and they told me that they charge their customers too as a "down payment" till they get their money back from CFMOTO. If that even ends up being paid back.

Am I in the wrong here to be shocked by the way I am being treated?
Has anyone else had to deal with this issue?

Thanks for your time,
Mark

General Discussion / Re: Possible Heating problem

I have been really busy so I havent had a chance to ride much or address this problem.

I ended up taking my bike back to the shop. They replaced the thermo switch.

My first ride after it was a very open trail and keeping a speed of 50km/h. No problem, bike worked perfect for 100km.

Went for a ride on a small trail only going about 15km/h and my bike started to overheat again.

The mechanic at the dealer suggested that I raise my fan amp (in black box) to 20 amp. Is that okay to do? My fan is constantly working the whole time. When I was using the 15amp i kept blowing the fuse, but that was before I changed my thermoswitch

I was reading the other gentlemans thread and he said he just moved the relays around. I am going to try that next.

If that does not work do you think my next step is checking out the thermostat?

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you NMK for your response.

Well I am not happy to hear that.

Do you know what the temperature for each bar is? I read through the manual and it does not provide any of that information.

General Discussion / Possible Heating problem

Hi,

I own a 2021 CFMOTO Cforce 800 XC. I have 700 KMS on my machine.
For 650 KMS my machine always ran flawless and my temp bars would sit at 4 bars and sometimes 5.

One day I went mudding and after that day my machine started to overheat. Before realizing my fan was not kicking on, I cleaned out the rad and made sure my coolant level was all good. When I noticed the fan was not working I checked the fuse and have replaced it since.

Went to go riding today, about 23 degrees out so not really hot at all. After riding for about 10 kms, my bars started to climb all the way to 7 (level before the beep).
I was getting paranoid from the experience before so I kept shutting off the machine to let it cool down before I would hear the beep.

I then decided to ride the machine till I would hear the over heating noise. Instead it decided to drop a bar down. Then it would climb again.

As I finished my ride my heat temp was sitting at roughly bar 6 and 7, never got down to 4 or 5 bars

Can anyone share their knowledge or experience with what I am going through.

It is not fun looking at my gage and just assuming that I will hear this overheating noise at any minute.

Thank you,

Mark

I was debating about getting the 600. The dealership was taking forever to get stock so I ended up getting the 800 and I am very happy I did. There is a bunch of videos on YouTube that can help you with your decision.
I think one of the biggest difference would be the horsepower the 800 gives.
I never drove the 600 but when it cones to the 2 up the 800 can handle two grown adults effortlessly where I assume the 600 would be better for a 100lb adult or a child.

YouTube: real talk power sports and go through his videos. I found it helpful for myself

Hey,

Does any one have any suggestions on a plow kit? I do live in Canada so maybe some suggestions won't work.
There are so many options and just can't decide what the difference would be.
Any help would be great
